DETAIL PROCEDURE
1. All clinic waste of sharp object (needle, blade, spuit, etc) should be collected
in special sharp container.
2. Other medical waste (bandage, gloves, cotton buds, etc) should be collected
in special waste bin.
3. General waste should never be mixed with medical waste or clinic sharp
object.
4. With proper hand protection, pack medical waste in proper yellow plastic bag.
Sharp container should be sent with the container.
5. Expired medicine should be collected and packed for shipment.
6. Plastic bag and/or container is packed and labeled in such way that is safe for
shipment, followed by DAN and recorded in log book.
7. Clinic should always have spare for empty sharp container and medical waste
bin.
