event while Sara Mansoor, Maheen Aftab, Sara Mansoor and Ushna

In Taekwondo, Sidra Batool bagged Silver medal while Rabia Kabir

Overall Performance
Pakistan participated in 18 disciplines. Out of 32 Gold medals,
Pakistan won 14 in Martial Arts: Karate (6), Wushu (3), Taekwondo
(3) and Judo (2).
In athletics, the country claimed five Gold medals. Olympians
Mehboob Ali and Najma Parveen were among the Gold medalists
in athletics. But the gem of the whole Games was the stunning
show from javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem who blasted his way
into the 2020 Tokyo Olympics when he smashed the South Asian
Games record of 82.23m set by India's Neeraj Chopra at the 2016
SAG in India, by managing an 86.29m throw. Arshad became a rare
Pakistani athlete who qualified for the world's most prestigious
extravaganza directly.
As usual, Pakistan did well in weight-lifting, winning five Gold
medals. Three Gold medals were won in wrestling, and two each
in shooting and squash — Tayyab Aslam claimed two Gold medals,
one in individual and one in squash team event.
In swimming, Pakistan's performance was low as only one Silver
and two Bronze were won although this discipline offers the
highest number of medals.

CLOSING REMARKS
As “chef-d-mission” it was an honors to lead Pakistani contingent on
SAF games at Nepal. I am indebted to all federations/ associations and
particularly Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and their office
bearers for extending their cooperation throughout the SAF games at
Kathmandu, Nepal. The athletes displayed high standard of discipline
and presented quality sports and brought honor & medals in all sports
events and raise the flag of our country in the different sports arena.
Let me admit that this success was not possible without the financial
support of federal minister IPC, Madam Fahmeeda Mirza and
patronage of PM whose all-out support was source of solace for all of
us.
I do appreciated Pakistan sports board for its timely arranging the
coaching camps of sports events prior to the departure of SAF games,
resultantly brought honors for our country..... Thanks for the support
of all chef-d-missions and specially the host country Nepal for its
hospitality and excellent arrangements in sports avenues.....Hope
Pakistan will host next SAF games (In Shah Allah) Akbar Durrani (Chef-
d-mission) Pakistan.
