With reference to the above, the undersigned was nominated as Observer for the
XXXVIthDAE Hockey held at TarapurMaharashtra Site, Tarapur during the period from

The Hockey Event under XXXVI DAE S&C Meet-2021-22 held at Tarapur
Maharashtra Site, Tarapurfrom21st to 25th May 2022 was successfully completed.

Now, as I am duty-bound to submit the Observer Meet Report, so, requesting you
to kindly find the enclosed report of the said event.

OBSERVER REPORT
ON
HOCKEY EVENT
HELD AT
TARAPUR MAHARASHTRA SITE, TARAPUR
BETWEEN
21st& 25th May 2022
1. The Event was held under the banner of Azadi ka Amrat Mahotsav.
2. Managers meeting was convened on 20th May 2022 at 19:30 hrs. The manager of
all the teams attended the meeting. The following teams participated in the
Event:
AJANTA, ELLORA, DWARKA, GOLCONDA, RAMESWARAM, PUSHKAR&
NAGARJUNA. Draws for the fixtures were taken in the Managers meeting to fix
the teams in 2 different Pools for league matches.
3. Konark team did not participate.
4. Event started with the inaugural function on the morning of 21 st May 2022.Shri
Vineet Kumar Sharma, Site Director, Tarapur Maharashtra Site was the Chief
Guest for the Inaugural Ceremony. Dignitaries from BARC, Tarapur also attended
the ceremony. The inaugural match was held between Dwarka & Nagarjuna at
10:00 hrs.
5. Referees from Hockey Maharashtra were appointed for smooth conduction of the
Event.
6. Following Committee was constituted for the smooth conduction of the Event: -
i) Event Committee
ii) Reception & Lighting Committee
iii) Catering & Pandal Committee
iv) Procurement, Entertainment & Prize Distribution Committee
v) Accommodation Committee
vi) Medical Assistance
vii) Transport Committee
viii) Security
The above committees were very active and provided their best support and
assistance to all the players/referees/invitees as and when required throughout
the event. The overall arrangements made during the event were excellent. The
lodging, boarding, and transport arrangements were found to be very good.

7. Event was conducted as per the guidelines issued by DAE S&CC.
8. Procurement of Prizes (Trophies) and mementos for Players/Managers were
purchased as per the DAES&CC guidelines.
9. During the first semi-final match between Ajanta & Rameswaram, the match was
paused briefly by team Rameswaram in opposition to one of the decisions made
by the match referee. Finally, the referee’s decision was considered final as it was
decided earlier during the manager’s meeting to respect the referee’s decision.
The match was continued for the remaining few minutes without active
participation by Rameswaram team.
10. The team selected to represent DAE Sports & Cultural Council for participating in
the National/ State Level Hockey event was with the consensus of the Event
Committee Convener, Chief Referee, Meet Observer, and Chairman, DAE S&CC,
Tarapur.
11. The Event concluded with Prize Distribution& Closing Ceremony on the evening of
25th May 2022. Shri Vineet Kumar Sharma, Site Director, TAPS 1&2 consented to
be Chief Guest for the program.
12. The event was completed successfully and satisfactorily.

Special Comments on the event:

1. 12 matches were played in total. The matches were played on one ground. The
ground was well maintained, levelled properly, and made a playable condition for
which reason the Players were safe. No major injury was reported. The
schedules of matches were found to be suitable.
2. The food served during the meet was hygienic, healthy, and tasty. (Daily unlimited
Sprouts, Juice, and Boiled Egg were served in addition to other Breakfast items).
3. Match records were prepared meticulously by Chief Referee and his team and
submitted to the Committee.
4. During this meet, all the teams participated with team spirit, dedication towards
the group, and respect for the opponent. Successful completion of the meeting
was due to a highly cordial atmosphere, strict adherence to the time schedule,
discipline, and timely interventions of Conveners.
5. The event was well organized in a very systematic manner.
6. The Council’s decision to hold all the Final Events in a short span of time was
taken positively and appreciated by one and all.
