 Please note that one player will be given one (higher) prize only. For rating-based
category prizes, all the players below that particular rating category will be considered
even though there is another below rating category is available.
 Prize money will be transferred through online mode and in INR (Indian National
Rupee) only.

Rated 2000 & above Rs.4000/-
Rated below 2000 Rs.6000/- (Gujarat Player: Rs.5000/-)

Entries with late fee of Rs.500 29th Mar 2022

No request towards waiver of entry fee or late fee will be entertained.

Tournament Rules:
System of Play:
The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System
with 10 rounds. Accelerated pairing may be used for the first three rounds.
Time Control :
90 Minutes plus 30 second increment from move 1 for entire game.
Default Time (Walk Over Time)
The default time will be 30 minutes
Draw Offer
Players can’t make an agreed draw before 30th black move.
Tie Break:

In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in to effect. The Cash prizes however will
not be shared.

Electronic Devices

All electronic items including wrist watches (all type of watches) are not allowed in the
tournament hall.

Players can pay the entry fee directly to the following account through NEFT/RTGS/IMPS
and forward the entry form along with transaction receipt. Please note that cash deposit in
account will not be entertained.

Entry Form
It is mandatory to forward the entry form in the given format for accepting the entries along
with prescribed entry fee.

AICF Registration:
All Indian players must be registered with AICF for the year 2021-22 before the registration
deadline to participate in the tournament. Those who not registered with AICF, required to
do AICF registration online at https://prs.aicf.in/players before sending their entry
registration

Accommodation
All GMs will be provided free hotel accommodation on double sharing basis.

All IMs/WGMs/WIMs/Players above 2200 rating will be provided free hotel accommodation
on double sharing basis.

All other participants will be provided free accommodation on six sharing basis/dormitory
accommodation for entire duration of the event and for that player needs to contact Mr.

Weather:
The climate of Gujarat is sunny with an average temperature of 19 degree Celsius to 35
degree Celsius.

 COVID PROTOCOL

1. All players are required to mandatorily adhere the Covid Protocol issued by
Government of India/Government of Gujarat at the time of tournament.
2. Any symptomatic players will be removed from the tournament as pre-caution.
All players are obliged to obey this rule and no protest can be made against
this decision of Organising Committee.
3. Players are obliged to undergo random RTPCR/Antigen Test conducted by the
organizing committee.
4. Preference in entry will be given to fully vaccinated players and players
required to produce a negative RTPCR test result taken within 48 hours to be
eligible to participate.
5. All Officials and Arbiters will be fully vaccinated.
6. Sanitization of Chess Board and Chess pieces will be carried out at regular
intervals.
7. Parents and accompanying persons are not allowed inside tournament hall at
all times.
8. Gujarat State Chess Association take all the measures for safe tournament
environment. However, in case any untoward situation arises, the players will
not ask damages from Gujarat State Chess Association.
9. Due to any unforeseen scenario, if the event needs to be cancelled, then
GSCA’s obligation is limited to refunding the entry fee paid by the players.
10. By enrolling for the events, the players are abide by all the terms and
conditions of the tournament for participation.
