“Coimbatore District Chess Association”, payable at “Coimbatore” and should be sent

The Demand draft should reach the above address on or before 22.12.2022 with the details
of the Player – Name, FIDE ID (if any), AICF ID (compulsory), Date of Birth, Phone No.

RULES & REGULATIONS

Rules FIDE rules in force shall apply.
System of Play The Tournament shall be conducted on a 8 rounds Swiss System.
Mode of
Total 8 rounds shall be played.
Tournament
10 minutes each + 5 seconds increment per move from Move
Time Control
No. 1
Default Time Default time is 10 minutes. Players have to be at the boards
within 10 minutes from the start of the round.
Tie-break Buchholz Cut 1, Buchholz, Sonneborn Berger, Direct Encounter,
Greater Number of wins (forfeit included) tie-break rules will be
applied. In case of tie with all the 5 tie-breaks, 6th will be
introduced by the Chief Arbiter. In case of tie, prizes will not be
shared.
 AICF player registration is compulsory for all players. AICF
Player Registration fee is Rs. 250/- for the year 2022-2023.
AICF player registrations will be accepted only through online.
AICF Player Players / Arbiters registration should be done well before the
start of Tournament event. For renewing AICF registration of

No separate TNSCA and district registration are required.

Protests if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be

made in writing with protest fee of Rs.500/- within 15 minutes of

admission reserve the rights of admission to the venue.
AICF has banned the wrist watches while playing in FIDE Rated
Wrist watches events. Players are instructed not to wear wrist watches while
playing.
