Theme: Reprimand to the patient's family who enter the ICU

In a hospital Especially in the ICU or Intensive Care Unit is a special room

provided by the hospital to treat patients with serious illnesses or injuries. To help
restore the patient's condition, the ICU room is equipped with special medical
equipment. Care in the ICU is very tight so that conditions can be monitored
properly and patients can rest in peace. The ICU room is also kept sterile to
reduce the risk of infection. The rules for visiting patients treated in the ICU are
before entering the room, they must wash their hands and take off their footwear,
and only 1 person can enter the family.
On Monday March 3, 2020 at 08.00 am in the ICU the nurse was
performing an operative watch.
Shinta : “good morning.”

Nina : “good morning nurse.”

Shinta : “Let me introduce you to Nurse Sprott and this is my friend, our
charisma
who is on duty this morning from 08.00 to 14.00.”
Krisma : “hello I'm Nurse Krisma, what is your name?”
Nina : “I am Nina.”
Shinta : “How are you now ?.”
Nina : “still the same as before.”
Shinta : “later at 10.00 am. The docter will check your situation.”
Nina : “yes nurs.”
Shinta : “mom, later if the doctor comes to check on the condition of your
child,
please ask that you accompany your child, so that you know the
doctor's explanation.”
Luh nik : “yes nurse.”
After that, at 10:00 the doctor arrived at the ICU to perform an examination
on Nina.
Shinta : “good morning doc.”
Diah : “good morning nurse, how is Nina's patient? Have there been
changes?”
Shinta : “not yet dock.”
Diah : “please take me to patient Nina.”
Shinta : “let me dock it.”
Then nurse Shinta escorted Dr. Diah to Nina's patient's bed. His arrival in
the patient's bed the doctor then asked Nina's condition and conducted an
examination.
Diah : “good morning nina.”
Nina : “good morning doc.”
Diah : “how are you now?”
Nina : “still the same as before doc.”
At the time the doctor was doing a visit, the families of the lone patients
were busy visiting the ICU room before visiting hours. Then the nurse reprimands
and tells the rules that the patient's family must obey to enter the ICU.
Krisma : “I'm sorry ma'am, here the trigger room where there are rules that must
be obeyed, only one person visits the patient, no more, if it is more
able to disturb the patient's condition, especially here there is a doctor
who is examining the patient.”
Sasmita : “I want to see the condition of sus patients, I also pay here sus!”
Krisma : “Yes, I understand, but in this trigger room there is a rule that only one
 person can visit the patient. Now, there is a doctor who checks the
patient's condition, in front there is a writing where only one person
enters the room.”
Riska : “Don't make a fuss here, so when can I visit the patient?”
Krisma : “later after this you can, but there must be permission from the sisters
and only one person.”
Then Sasmita left the patient's room, after the doctor got out of the patient's
room, Sasmita's returned to the room using footwear.
Shinta : “mom, sorry if the footwear is taken off if you want to enter this
room.”
Sasmita : “why should you take off your sus footwear, does it really have the
effect
of using footwear?”
Shinta : “Ma'am, this is an intensive room, a sterile room, if the mother uses
unsterile footwear, we are afraid that bacteria or germs will enter the
room and cause infection to the patient.”
Sasmita : “I see, Sus.”
Krisma : “Sorry for the ladies and gentlemen, please understand that this is an
intensive care unit room where this room must maintain patient
comfort and be sterile to reduce the risk of infection from the patient
to the family and to the patient, for families when they are expected to
wash their hands before and after that the atiseptic that has been
provided in the front yard and taking off the footwear before entering
this room, and only one person visiting the family begs the mother and
father to be orderly and follow the rules that have been there for
mutual comfort thank you.”
Riska : “yes sus, sorry in advance, I will not repeat it again.”
Sasmita : “I just found out that the ICU room must be sterile and different from
other inpatients. Sus, sorry for my words that might offend Sister, I
apologize sus, we, from the patient's family, will obey the rules if it is
indeed for the good of all of us.”
 And finally the patient's family wants to obey the rules in the ICU room
with 1 visitor visiting the patient. The patient's family enters the room in special
clothes and takes off his footwear.

Theme: apologize to the patient’s family for putting other patients first

In the morning at 09.00 am a patient on behalf of Ana was escorted by her

family. The patient had a headache since morning at 07.00 am and had gotten
better then at 08.30 am the patient had a headache and was immediately referred
to the hospital.
Diah : “good morning Is there anything I can help?”
Khrisma : “My child has a headache, please treat it immediately.”

Diah : “OK sir, I will immediately. register your father's son with the

administration first.”
 While holding their children, the father and mother looked nervous. An
interval of 5 minutes his son was ugd entered and told to wait in bed.
Luh nik : “good morning sir, when does the child get dizzy?”

Sasmita : “from yesterday night he complained of dizziness.”

Luhnik : “Is there nausea, vomiting, sir?”

Sasmita : “not a nurse.”

Luhnik : “Wait a minute, sir, I will first check the child.”

Sasmita : “good nurse.”

Interval of 10 minutes later came patients who experienced emergency

emergencies with complaints of severe shortness of breath and then doctors and
nurses treated the patient.

Nina : “Doctor, nurse please help my mother.”

Diah : “why is his mother sir?”

Nina : “My mother was congested with nurses from this morning.”

The nurse also called a doctor to treat the patient.

Shinta : “miss, is there any history of shortness of breath in her mother?”
Nina : “there is a doctor.”
Shinta : “well ma'am I will check her mother first.”

When the doctor treats the patient, the father of the patient who experiences
the dizziness sees and feels ignored.
Khrisma : “(The father went to the nurse's guard room) Nurse why was my child
not treated by his doctor? My child has been here.”
Luhnik : “please wait a moment miss, the doctor is still handling other
patients.”
Khrisma : “After all, I saw the patient coming to UGD later, why did he get the
treatment first?”
Luhnik : “the gentlemen at UGD we use a triage system.”
 Doctor Shinta also approached Sasmita, Khrisma and the nurse who was
being seized.
Shinta : “What's going on here, it's so noisy here Diah: this is the doc, this
patient's family is angry because the doctor first treats the patient
who later arrives.”
Khrisma : “Doc right, why did the doctor not treat my child first because it was
my child who came earlier than the patient earlier.”
Shinta : “apologize in advance, ma'am. So here you are, in the emergency
room there is a medical emergency triage system, which is used to determine
which patients should be treated first compared to other patients, triage is divided
into 3 categories bu the first immediate, the second urgent and the third non
urgent.”
Sasmitra : “I mean the dock, I don't understand.”
Shinta : “I mean this, Mom when a patient comes to the ER, the UGD will do a
patient sorting by using triage by looking at the condition of the
patient, and the UGD will provide a color code for the patient, from
red, yellow, green, white and black. The red color, to direct patients
with life-threatening emergencies like the patient that I handle first
The yellow color, for evacuation routes that are not life-threatening
such as accidents are just torn wounds for example If it's green, for
mild and ordinary cases for example patients come with complaints
of weakness or fever While the black line is an evacuation route for
patients who have died who will do a heart record. Therefore I treat
patients who threaten their lives first, sir.”

While explaining to the patient's family, nurse Diah checks the patient's
body temperature and blood pressure.
Sasmita and Khrisma : “Oh that's right doc, I just understood the dock.”
Shinta : “yes ma'am, so we are sorry not that we put the mother's child second
but we have to implement the system.”
Khrisma : “Good doc is not an important issue that my child has already dealt
 with.”

The doctor has finished checking Ana's condition. Then the doctor
prescribes medicine to the family.
