WHAT ARE PRONOUNS?

 Pronouns take the place of nouns.


SUBJECT PRONOUNS
 John is a doctor. He lives in London.
 Noun = SUBJECT of the verb.
 BEFORE the verb.

He lives in London.
OBJECT PRONOUNS
 Anna calls John. She invites him to a
concert.

 Noun = object of the verb (the person who


receives the action).
OBJECT PRONOUNS
 AFTER the verb.

I love HIM. (I love he)


OBJECT PRONOUNS
 AFTER prepositions (with, to, on, from, etc.)
