Dear Chairman Moroney

I am writing on behalf of the Billerica Police Department regarding the upcoming Parole Board hearing scheduled for
February 4, 2021, 10:00 AM, to decide on the potential parole of convicted murderer Richard Seymour, 9/29/1949
(W42787). The Billerica Police strongly opposes the parole of Mr. Seymour. As you are aware, the facts of this case are
very disturbing and violent whereas Mr. Seymour brutally beat his own son, Patrick, to death, stabbed and terrorized his
wife and daughter, and took steps to cover up his crimes. Mr. Seymour is a violent murderer and a threat to this
community and society as a whole if released. Although we have no plans to attend the upcoming parole hearing, I
would urge you to make this letter an official addendum to any materials provided to your board when taking the
matter under consideration. If there is anything further you need from me to assist you in your hearing or decision
making process, please do not hesitate to contact me.
