3. Use this guide as a reference to help you know
exactly what to do in every step of the way.

Welcome to
CANADA
PAGE | 04 WHY CANADA

The question is why Canada.

The simple answer to that is Canada is currently the

most immigrant receptive country in the world.

Canada offers a lot of perks for its residents and has

made it one of the most sort out destinations to raise
a family in the world.

A few of these perks are;

Free and quality healthcare for its residents

Monthly child care benefits
Free high-quality education from kindergarten to
high school
Security of lives and property (Canada is one of
the safest places on earth)
Diverse opportunity to live a very good quality of
life

And the list goes on.

But most importantly, our choice for Canada will be

based mostly on our individual preferences and
desires.

WHY Canada offers a lot of perks for its

residents and has made it one of the

Next Steps...

HOW TO
RELOCATE TO
CANADA

The most popular way to relocate to Canada is

through the Federal Express Entry System.

It is designed around a cutoff system where people are

selected based on merit after they have successfully
met a laid down requirement by the CIC- Center for
Immigration Canada.

The CIC has a threshold that is released every

month through a grading system called the CRS
(Comprehensive Ranking System). Another way to relocate to Canada is through the
Provincial Nominee Program.
The CRS checks your eligibility to relocate to Canada
by scoring you points based on the following; Canada is divided into ten different provinces
which have their own requirements for
Education immigration.
Work experience
Language Proficiency (IELTS) Generally, the requirement of this system is relaxed

multiple degrees and a high IELTS score.
PAGE | 07

HOW TO
RELOCATE TO
CANADA...
The provincial nomination gives you 600 points which in
turns automatically earns you an ITA – Invitation to Apply
for Permanent Residence.

The drawback here also is that it takes an average of 8

months for the provincial nomination to come through,
after which you have to wait another 4 – 6 months for the
express entry to give you your Permanent Resident Visas.

That is if you have all the requirements (which changes

frequently) requested by the province, some of which
can only be possible if you already lived in Canada.

So what then is the way forward for those who for

some reason, cannot meet up with the points
requirement of both the Federal Express Entry and
The Provincial Nominee Programs.

The way forward is the unique approach, not known to

many in this guide.

Ironically it is the most used pathway to relocate to

Canada all over the world as captured by data.
PAGE | 08 MY APPROACH

MY UNIQUE
APPROACH
My unique approach of relocating to Canada is based on a
simple fact.

It is easier to become a permanent resident of

Canada if you already lived in Canada.

The Federal Express Entry and The Provincial Nominee

Program were so designed to favor those who already live
in Canada legally.

So, my unique system is simply a way to get you to

Canada Legally, where you can then go ahead to get
your permanent residency.

INTRODUCING THE EDUCATION/STUDY

APPROACH

Grad Study > Study Permit > Work Permit > Permanent Resident

My unique approach to relocating to Canada can be summarized into 4 Basic Steps.

1. GRAD STUDY – Apply for post-graduate study at any of the institutions provided in this guide

2. STUDY PERMIT – Apply for study Permit using a unique approach

3. WORK PERMIT – Get 3 years work Permit

4. PERMANENT RESIDENCY – Get your permanent Resident status

IN SUMMARY PAGE | 09

My Unique Approach

IN SUMMARY

You apply to selected Canadian institutions for fully

funded Grad Study.

When you have the admission, you will apply for a

study permit, which automatically gives your spouse (if
you have one) an open work permit.

Meanwhile, your study permit allows you 20 hours of

work per week. After your studies, you have up to three
years of work permit if you studied for at least 2 years.

During these three years, you can get your

permanent residency.

Data shows that a large percentage of people all over

the world use this route to relocate themselves and their
entire family to Canada. See 2018 chart below:

Figures based on 2018 Admissions

PAGE | 10 IN SUMMARY

From this data, the number of people that relocated

to Canada through the study approach (represented
by the yellow arch) was four times the size of those
who relocated directly through the Express Entry
(represented by the blue arch).

So, if you are finding it difficult meeting up with the

CRS cut-off point for Express Entry, for whatsoever
reasons, then the study approach is for you.

The study approach also has a few perks I should

mention.
Remember, the end goal is key. BECOMING A

GRAD STUDY

GRAD STUDY here simply refers to Post-graduate

studies.

A post-graduate study can be a Doctorate (PhD),

Master’s degree (MA, M.Sc., etc.) or Advanced
Diploma which we often refer to as Post-graduate
Diploma (PGD)

MASTER'S DEGREE
This is for people who have a Second class upper

strong Second Class Lower (2:2) but only accepted
in one of the institutions listed here (University of
Saskatchewan) with a condition that the last two
years of study must have a CGPA that falls within the
2:1 range.

The other condition is that your majors must have

good grades. For example, if you are applying for a
Masters in Accounting, all your accounting courses
must have good grades. This concerns those with
second class lower (2:2).

Needless to say, it is better for those who have

second class upper and above, because they have a
higher chance of being admitted.

So, what would be necessary is to get a letter from

your school notifying the schools in Canada to this

STUDY PERMIT

STUDY PERMIT in simple terms is what the

Canadian Government gives you that gives you
the right to stay in Canada during the period of
study.

It is given to you when you land in Canada. What

you get going to Canada is a Study Visa. The
duration of this permit is always relative to the
duration of your program.

If peradventure you don’t finish your program before

your study permit expires, you can always request
for an extension.

But if your program is concluded before the

expiration of your study permit, the Study permit
expires.

HOW TO APPLY FOR STUDY

PERMIT
After you have been granted admission from any of
the universities and colleges in this guide, you are
given a proof of admission, which can be an
admission letter or an acceptance letter, depending
on the school.

This proof of admission document is a vital

document in your application for a study permit.

Other requirements necessary for a successful
