TRANSLATION PROFESSION IN INDONESIA (3): ORGANIZATION AND


CERTIFICATION
In Indonesia, the organization that houses translators is Association of Indonesian
Translators which was founded in 1974. Organizations whose management has been active
since 2000 have organized various activities to hone translator skills, such as training in using
various translation software ranging from Trados to CAT Tools -- Such software is needed
for the translation of repeated words in large numbers, usually more than 10,000 words - a
seminar on the latest developments in the world of translation, until the meetings were held to
strengthen the friendship between the members. The organization that has received
recognition from the International Translator Organization also helds a translator certification
exam whose quality is recognized nationally for a period of five years. With this certification,
translators of course get a guarantee of quality and ability so that agents or clients who
require services should provide more reasonable deadlines and appropriate rates.

c. Naturalness: 40%
