To Whom It May Concern: Morris Middle School Band

Hello. My name is Rod Harden. I am the band director at Morris Middle School. This is my 3 rd year with Huntsville
City Schools and I am having a wonderful time. The students at my school work hard and do the very best that they
can.

My program needs some assistance. Our students are asked to participate in my program and, at times, it becomes
difficult to ensure every student has an instrument to use. Some, if not most, of the instruments I have are 10-15
years old. Some of these instruments need major repairs or replacement (most repairs start at roughly $65). My
program is also in need of other materials: music books (classroom sets), music for the band library (the average
piece for middle school band starts at $40), band materials (reeds, sticks, mallets, oil, etc.).

I am asking for your assistance. If you are able to help out with some of these needs, our program will be eternally
grateful. Monetary donations are greatly accepted, but actual donated items are welcomed, too.
