DOCUMENTATION REPORT FOR MODULE 6 ASSIGNMENT
I. INTRODUCTION
Per instructions, I sought the permission of SDS to declare a

shortened period to conduct a School Learning Action Cell (SLAC)
session with my co-teacher on January 30, 2021.
A total of four (4) teachers attended the SLAC via Google meet. I
started the session with a simple prayer, greetings and a short
message and discussed the following:
1. Lesson 1: Understanding the Facilitative Teaching-Learning

Process
2. Lesson 2: Procedures in integrating active learning strategies
3. Lesson 3: Crafting and finalization of Weekly Home Learning
Plan
4. Presentation of outputs and feed backing
Attached as Annexes “A”, “B”, and “C” are copies of the

Memorandum requiring the attendance of the teachers in the
SLAC/Meeting on January 30, 2021, Attendance Sheet, Minutes
of the meeting, and PPT presentation, respectively.
II. WORKSHOP/DEVELOPMENT OF WEEKLY HOME LEARNING

PLAN (WHLP)
With their agreement, the subject chosen as an example will be

Filipino V, and Mathematics V. A total of two (2) out of four (4)
teachers who attended the SLAC/Meeting were tasked to develop
the Weekly Home Learning Plan (WHLP).
Immediately after, the completed Weekly Home Learning Plan was

submitted to me for review. Upon incorporation of my comments/
recommendations, the teachers have agreed to implement the
Weekly Home Learning Plan on February 1-5, 2021.
Attached as Annexes “C”, “D”, and “D” are copies of the “Pictures”
during the SLAC session workshop, the Weekly Home Learning
Plan (WHLP) on the subject, Filipino V and Mathematics V with
my comments/recommendations.

III. IMPLEMENTATION OF THE WEEKLY HOME LEARNING PLAN

As agreed, a total of two (2) teachers were assigned to take care of
the implementation of the weekly home learning plan on the
subject Filipino V and Mathematics V. A total of twenty-two
(22) learners of grade V section Silver participated in the
implementation of the Weekly Home Learning Plan.
Attached as Annex “F” are copies of the pictures taken during the
implementation the Weekly Home earning Plan.
IV. POST OBSERVATION/IMPLEMENTATION CONFERENCE

The post observation meeting was conducted on February 1-5,
2021. The following is a summary of our discussion:
Active learning strategies that will nurture learners’

potentials and make them lifelong learners.
Active learning encourages learners to help them to become
effective ways in the different strategies based on the
different activities given for them to learn.
Active learning engages learners in learning using activities
3R’s especially in K-3 learners and for the grades 4-6, we can
give activities such as reading, discussion, reflecting, or
problem solving to promote analysis, synthesis, and
evaluation of class content.
Active learning refers to a broad range of teaching strategies
which engage learners as active participants in their learning
during class time with their facilitator or instructor.
The importance of the use of enabling questions that will
enhance or make the learners think critically and effectively.
Active learning in which learners are actively or
experimentally involved in the learning process and where
there are different levels of active learning, depending on
learner involvement.

V. REFLECTION
As a school leader at the same a grade V adviser teacher, one

of our buddy or weapon in teaching is that lesson plan. Lesson
plan is to develop by a teacher to guide class learning. It is also our
road map of what the learners need to learn and how it will be
done effectively during the class time. In this time of pandemic, the
alternative way of lesson plan is that Weekly Home Learning Plan
(WHLP) that the learners actively participation involved in the
teaching-learning process. In lesson planning, there is a part of
motivation wherein to motivates our learners before the lesson for
them to catch their interest to empower, engage and encourage
them to stimulate as a learner-centered.
With regard to the conducted School Learning Action Plan

(SLAC) on the procedures of integrating active learning strategies in
lesson planning or the weekly home learning plan as an alternative
way in this crisis, as a leader we expected to inspire our teachers
though we are facing COVID-19 for them to become a good leader
also to our learners to help them and inspired and mold them by
the different active learning strategies and to think critically and
creatively to motivate them to actively participated in this kind of
learning process.
With this, as a requirement in this SEAMEO INNOTECH

COURSE is that weekly long lesson plan. But, we come up with the
crafting of Weekly Home Learning Plans as alternative with the
integrated active learning strategies, for us as a teachers found it
easier to give written works and performance task to the learners
weekly. Those exams or activities are aligned to the WHLP as their
guide. Our bible now is the Most Essential Learning Competencies
(MELCs) wherein it is also aligned the WHLP.
After presenting the procedures in integrating active learning

strategies we decided that the teachers will group them as a
requirement. We come up into two groups. One group for K-3
learners and one group for 4-6 learners. This time, the teachers
must be adapting some keys points in integrating strategies in
their WHLP. After this, they present their outputs and they
assumed that our learners are the center of their planning to cater
their needs though without the presence of the teachers from time

to time and with that WHLP pretends as a teacher to guide them.
Their functions and purposes were simple yet still get the learners
to think critically, effectively and creatively.
Learning and teaching in the new normal is challenging yet

fulfilling because we as a teachers will continue learning and
provides quality education and opportunities through the use of
blended learning. As a student of TEACHeXCELS, one of the main
purposes is that, to encourage my co-teachers to actively
participate in the different kinds of learning through training to
enhance their capabilities and abilities to accept the challenges in
preparation of the new normal education. This new way of learning
brought by COVID-19 pandemic can be an additional challenge
during this tough time. Remember, the goal of this new normal
learning is to keep the teachers engaged and provide opportunities
in order to accept the changes just to delivery and continue
education and by sharing their best practices, and I know every
one of us have this, so that others may adapt for the betterment of
individual not only too us as a teachers, but also most importantly
to our dear learners.
Finally, active learning strategies involves actively engaging

learners using teaching techniques that can build and lead to more
effective, gratifying, and memorable learning outcomes. We can say
active learning when our learners’ confidence to apply learning to
the different situations and problems that rely based on their
experienced to achieve their goal and greater opportunity to share
what they have learned. Keep to active learning. You must learn
and be passionate about new ways and methods of doing things to
be and remain relevant of the learning process.
