The project has several academic and industrial partners, and is funded through the EPSRC CIMComp
Hub which will provide support and networking opportunities.
The skills, qualifications and experience required to perform the role are that the applicant must have
obtained, or be close to obtaining, a PhD in engineering or a similar technical subject, with expertise in
experimental testing and modelling as applied to materials systems.
Appointment at Research Associate level is dependent on having a PhD. Those who have submitted but
not yet received their PhD will be appointed at Research Assistant level, which will be amended to
Research Associate once the PhD has been awarded.
Salary Ranges:
R hA i t t £26 715 £30 942
Research Assistant: £26,715 - £30,942
Research Associate: £32,816 - £40,322
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 28 April 2023 in the first instance.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a
health assessment.
