ANALYSIS SONG “HOUSE OF GOLD”

BY TWENTY ONE PILOTS

[Intro] Will you buy me a house of gold?

[Chorus 1] And when your father turns to stone,
She asked me, "Son, when I grow old, Will you take care of me?"
Will you buy me a house of gold?
And when your father turns to stone, [Bridge 2]
Will you take care of me?" I will make you
Queen of everything you see
[Chorus 2] I'll put you on the map
She asked me, "Son, when I grow old, I'll cure you of disease
Will you buy me a house of gold?
And when your father turns to stone, [Verse 2]
Will you take care of me?" And since we know that dreams are dead
And life turns plans up on their head
[Bridge 1] I will plan to be a bum
I will make you So I just might become someone
Queen of everything you see
I'll put you on the map [Chorus 4]
I'll cure you of disease She asked me, "Son, when I grow old,
Will you buy me a house of gold?
[Verse 1] And when your father turns to stone,
Let's say we up and left this town Will you take care of me?"
And turned our future upside-down
We'll make pretend that you and me [Bridge 3]
Lived ever after, happily I will make you
Queen of everything you see
[Chorus 3] I'll put you on the map
She asked me, "Son, when I grow old, I'll cure you of disease

Verse 1 A person has the ambition not to fail again and tries to get a second
chance to make his parents happy.
Verse 2 Someone's ambition just disappears because he realizes his life is just
barely enough.
Refrain Our parents don't need possessions, but happiness from the child
somehow.
Morals My View

The writers of the song reminds us of I think, we are more working hard and not
someone who as a child wanted to make lazy anymore to reach our dreams,
their parents happy, but in fact it was all especially in terms of making our parents
just wishful thinking. Because it is told in happy. even when we are successful we
this song that this person failed to achieve must not forget our parents, especially
his wish to make his parents happy, mothers.
because he did not become a successful
person as previously dreamed. Then, this
song about someone who wants to be
devoted to his parents, by giving everything
his parents want, then he is already
successful.
