AUUP CONVOCATION FOR PROGRAMMES COMPLETED IN 2018.

1. The Convocation of Amity University Uttar Pradesh for the students who have
successfully completed their Academic Programmes in 2018 will be held on
Friday, November 02, 2018 at Amity University Campus, Sector- 125, Noida.
The students of the previous batches of UG & PG Programmes under
N+2+(1) / N+1+(1), who qualified in the Supplementary Examinations 2018
will also be awarded degrees in this Convocation.

2. Convocation is a memorable occasion in one’s life. You are invited to please be

present on this occasion to receive your Degree / Diploma / Certificate. We
will appreciate if you kindly confirm attending the Convocation, latest by 18 th
October 2018 on Convocation portal  www.amity.edu/convocation and in the
format enclosed as Annexure-A.

3. The payment gateway for gown rental and security / gown purchase will be
made available on your online Convocation registration page and also for
receiving of degree in case you are not attending the Convocation.

4. You are requested to report at the Registration Desk at 9.00 A.M. on Friday,
November 02, 2018.

5. A copy of Instructions to be followed in the Convocation is enclosed as

Annexure- B.

6. The Recipients who are not able to attend the Convocation and wish to have
their degrees in absentia shall pay a fee of Rs. 1000/- to the University for the
same. Degrees can be collected by the students themselves after the
Convocation or their degrees will be mailed by Registered post. You are
therefore, requested to submit online request for the same on
www.amity.edu/convocation, in case you are not attending the Convocation
and give your complete and correct postal address on which your degree can
be dispatched.

AUUP CONVOCATION FOR PROGRAMMES COMPLETED IN 2018

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING THE

CONVOCATION OF AMITY UNIVERSITY UTTAR PRADESH

1. The Convocation of AUUP for the students passed out in the year 2018 will be
held on Friday, November 02, 2018 as per Schedule below:-

Reporting Time 9:00 A.M.

Registration /Collection of gowns/Caps 09: 15 A.M. – 10:45 A.M.
Entry into the Convocation Hall & to be seated in
10:00 A.M. – 10:10 A.M.

Convocation 10:55 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.

Lunch 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.

Presentation of Degrees/ Diplomas
Degrees/Diploma, Grade sheets & Certificates of
2:30 P.M. – 5:30 P.M.
Value Addition Courses to be presented by
respective Deans & HOIs.
Return of Convocation Gowns & caps 5:30 P.M. – 6: 30 P.M.

2. On-line Registration-cum Confirmation

All students are advised to register on-line at www.amity.edu/convocation

latest by 18th October 2018 in addition to sending their confirmation to the
Institution. The students who do not register on time will not be permitted
to attend the Convocation.

3. Venue :- Amity University Campus

Sector – 125 NOIDA

4. Following instructions are to be strictly followed in the Convocation:

(i) Dress: Formal Dress will be worn for the function as indicated below:

a) Gents : Lounge Suit/ Combination with a tie, Black Shoes and Socks.
b) Ladies : Saree/ Suit/Western(Jacket/Trousers with tie)

Those not formally dressed will not be permitted to participate.

(ii) Guests:

(a) The Recipient of the degree is allowed to bring maximum of two

guests.

(b) Only parents, blood relations (brother/sister) or spouse of

recipients are allowed.
 (c) Children below 15 years of age are not allowed.

(d) Formal dress code will also apply to guests.

(e) Recipients desirous of bringing guests, will forward their

particulars along with their confirmation letter in the format given
at Annexure – A by 18th October 2018 so that appropriate courtesy
and hospitality is extended to them.

(iii) Participation:

(a) Students whose confirmations are not received by 18th October

2018 will not be allowed to attend the Convocation.

(b) Students, who have confirmed, are required to report/register at

the stipulated time as given in programme schedule.

(c) Students, who fail to report / register by the stipulated time, will
not be allowed to attend the Convocation.

(d) Detailed instructions on the Conduct of the Convocation will be

issued separately at the time of the registration also.

(iv) Convocation Gowns / Caps:

(a) All Recipients will be issued gowns and caps at the University
and they are required to wear it throughout the function.

(b) Gowns and caps must be returned after the Convocation on the
same day to the gown issuing counter and the return to be
marked online for refund of gown security.

(c) Exclusive Amity University Ring: An exclusively made Amity

University Ring will be available for graduands on the
Convocation venue. 

(v) Timings:

(a) The Recipients of the degrees, after registration by the stipulated

time, will be seated in the Convocation Hall by 11.00 A.M. for
rehearsal and Instructions.

(b) Once seated, there will be no unnecessary movements in the

Convocation Hall and perfect discipline is to be maintained.

(c) The Recipients must not leave the Convocation Hall before the
function is over and the Academic Procession has left the Hall.

(d) The Recipients should make their travel plans keeping in mind
that the convocation will not be over before 7.30 P.M.

(vi) Procession:
 All present in the Convocation Hall will rise when the Academic
Procession enters and when the Academic Procession leaves the Hall.

(vii) Refreshment:

Refreshments will be served before the convocation and lunch will be

served after the main convocation.

(viii) Degrees/Grade Cards/Value Addition Courses Certificates:

The Degrees, Grade Cards and Value Addition Certificates will be

presented by the respective HOIs at designated venues.

(ix) Photography

(a) Photography facility will be available for the graduands if they

wish to get themselves photographed.

(b) Graduands can make payment to the accounts counter in the

photography enclosure. Photographs will be handed over
instantly.
