WARM UP

Objective
To make students familiar with the positions of the planets in the solar system in a clear and
objective way.
Time:​ 5 minutes

Crocodile Game
Instructions:
1. The teacher selects teams of 4 to 6 players and forms teams in straight lines, in which the
first person in each group is the leader.
2. Then, the teacher makes a start line and a finish line to play the game.
3. All students will stand behind the starting line and place their hands on the person's
shoulders in front of them.
3. The teacher proceeds to show an image about the solar system; he will also show images of
the planets, which must be placed chronologically from the closest to the furthest from the
sun.
4. The group that remembers the correct position of each planet within the solar system will
earn 10 points for each correct answer.
5. The first team to score 80 points must crouch down to look like a crocodile and race to the
finish line to win the game.

Materials:
♦ Images of the solar system and planets
♦ Tape or marker
♦ Small blackboard
