 Saudi Arabian Airlines Engineering and Maintenance Center, previously
known as Technical Services Division (TSV), established in the late 1959,
About SAEI

and known today as Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI), a

limited liability company (LLC). Officially registered in 2009 and has its
base at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, KSA.

SAEI today is the leading aviation technical solutions provider in the

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Backed by over 60 years of experience and
more than 4,500 highly qualified and trained professional workforce,
90% of which are Saudi nationals. SAEI offers an extensive array of
integrated maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services to civil and
military aircraft owners and operators, both locally and abroad.
 Late 1959
Saudi Arabian Airlines established the first aircraft maintenance center in Jeddah known as
Technical Services Division (TSV).

Mid 70’s
Saudi Arabian Airlines started sending local Saudis to the USA to obtain A&P and Avionics
diplomas. 2011
• "SAEI signed an exclusive Services Level Agreement (SLA) to maintain Saudi Arabian

Technical Services Division (TSV) moved to the current facilities in King Abdul-Aziz • Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI) lunched its new branding identity.

2004 2016
• "The European Aerospace Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 certificate 145.0125 was Saudi Arabian Airlines Holding bought back the 30% of SAEI from Tarabot Aircraft
obtained. Maintenance Company and SAEI became 100% owned by the Saudi Arabian Airlines Holding.
• The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GAGA) certificate AMTS-01 for the first certified
GACA school was obtained.“ 2017
• SAEI, Alsalam Aerospace Industries and Boeing notarized and registered the Saudi

SAEI engine maintenance center houses a number of specialized shops

including, clean line, NDT, composite, plating (polishing, etching; shot peen &
glass bead peen), plasma, paint, welding, machine (jig boring, drilling and
reaming, grinding, electro discharge, turning, CNC grinding, lathe & turning
machine with 5 axis travelling column capability), balancing, blades and
vanes, sheet metal, thrust reverser, QEC, bearing, harness and heat treatment
shops.
