Start

To start our project, I say that the Dominican Republic is a Caribbean country that
shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti to the west, it is one of the most visited
Latin American countries. Its incredible beaches, among the best beaches in the
world, and characterized by its endless fine sand and warm crystal clear waters,
have made the Dominican Republic and Punta Cana well-known destinations by
almost anyone. But the country does not live on beaches alone: Dominican culture
has much to offer

It is known for its beaches, resorts, and golf areas. Its terrain includes tropical
forests, savanna and highlands, including Pico Duarte, the highest mountain in the
Caribbean. The capital Santo Domingo has Spanish-style elements, such as the
Gothic-style Catedral Primada de América, which has 5 centuries old, in its Zona
Colonia district

Realizar un texto descriptivo en ingles, el cual indique la cultura de la

históricos, sus fauna, su flora, su música sus bailes, sus solidaridad, su

Dominican Republic also called "Quisqueya" a term used by the Taino people that
means mother of the earth. It has a subtropical climate with very marked climatic
variations, ranging from semi-arid to very humid.
Climate
The climate is similar to that of the other Greater Antilles (Cuba, Jamaica, Puerto
Rico).
The average annual temperature at sea level is 25 ° Celsius. There are normally
two rainy seasons: April to June and September to November. Generally the period
from December to March is the least rainy.

Music

Merengue is one of the musical genres par excellence within the Dominican
culture. Originally, it was interpreted with string instruments to be replaced by the
accordion. Later, the typical instrumental trio included the accordion, the güira and
the tambora representing the union of three cultures; the European influence with
the accordion, the African with the tambora and the Taíno with the güira. At
present, merengue is one of the genres that merges the most, giving rise to curious
music, but if you want to enjoy the most folkloric merengue, don't miss a trip to
Cibao, in the north of the country. Another of the typical musical genres of
Dominican culture is bachata. Influenced by the bolero, the merengue and the
Cuban son, it was known as ‘amargue music’ due to its theme, which usually
referred to the lack of love and melancholy caused by it. Currently, bachata has
reached great popularity throughout Latin America.
Areas and population

The Dominican Republic, located in Central America, has an area of 48,670 km2,
making it one of the smallest countries. Whose coordinates are at latitude
18.735693 and longitude -70.162651

The Dominican Republic, with a population of 10,358,000 people, is in position 87

of the population table, made up of 196 countries and has a population density of
213 inhabitants per km2.

Its capital is Santo Domingo and its currency is Dominican Pesos.

Economy

The Dominican Republic is the 67th economy by volume of GDP. Its public debt in
2019 was 42,749 million euros, with a debt of 53.76% of GDP. Its debt per capita is
€ 4,127 per inhabitant.

The last annual variation rate of the CPI published in the Dominican Republic is
from September 2020 and was 5%.

The main products are sugar, coffee, gold, silver, nickel, cocoa. The main exports
of the Dominican Republic are ferronickel, sugar, cocoa, molasses, coffee, gold
and tobacco.

Food
Dominican food has a clear Creole influence, that is, with European influence but
developed in America and with certain African traits. Rice, meat, beans or
vegetables are of great importance, which is perceived in its most typical dishes
such as the flag (rice, beans and stewed meat) or the sancocho, vegetables,
banana and yucca.

Historical places
In the Dominican Republic there are many historical places that you must
visit, some of them are:

 The Ozama Fortress -.

 Colon Park
 Alcazar de Coló
 Square of the Sun Clock
 Door of the Count

Fauna and Flora,

Approximately 6,000 species of flora and 7,000 species of fauna thrive in the
Dominican Republic. Among these, the Cigua Palmera, the national and
endemic bird of La Hispaniola, and the Rose of Bayahíbe, our national pink
flower, stand out. You will also find reptiles and amphibians, such as the
American crocodile or the Ricord's iguana, in danger of extinction. The stars of
our wildlife species are the nearly 1,500 humpback whales that faithfully flock to
Samaná Bay each year to mate and give birth in our warm waters.

Mahogany is the national tree of the Dominican Republic. You will find
numerous other species, including the ceiba or West Indian cedar, the jícaro
tree and, of course, a wide variety of tropical palm trees, of African heritage and
that decorate the coasts and hills of the country. The coconut tree is a symbolic
royal palm of the Dominican Republic, appearing even on the national flag. In
the summer you will notice flowering raspberries, an imported species, leaning
over the roads and fields with their bright red color. In the higher elevations,
towards the center of the country, Creole pines grow in abundance thanks to
the cold climate.

Flower lovers will enjoy the country's wide tropical variety, especially the more
than 300 species of orchids. Among other beauty of our country.

The typical dances of the Dominican Republic are:

 The meringue.
 The ripiao parrot.
 The bachata.
 The sauce and the son.

Solidarity of the Dominican

The Dominican is a very supportive person, he is a person who is always happy

and willing to offer a helping hand to those who need them. Regardless of social
status or where he comes from.

Dominicans have a reputation for being the friendliest people you can meet. They
exude passion, in the speed at which they speak, in the way they dress and dance,
and in the embrace of their fellow man, be it neighbor or visitor.

His effort to improve his living condition

The Dominican, wherever he is, is characterized by being a hard-working and

collaborative person.

As Pedro Francisco Bono said "The Dominican is a great worker, his muscular
effort reaches such a powerful height as the most powerful people", and also refers
to "... few peoples are more industrious, tougher or more courageous in fatigue"

That is why I love my country so much, because it is a country of hard-working and

supportive people, but what we love the most of my country are its beaches, its
rivers and its people.

What are the documents that a Dominican must always have up to date?
In my opinion there are only two that are:
 Birth
 Identity card
 Driver's license
The birth because it is what accredits you as a Dominican and the identity card
because it is the official residence of the Dominican over 18 years old and the
driver's license because it is used to transit.
