convinience foods will become increasingly prevelant and eventually

replace traditional foods and traditional methods of food preparing.
to what extend do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Over the period, it has been a dramatic change in terms of the food people consume.
Convenient food is becoming more popular throughout the world, especially in
developed countries. Some people, because of the strong influence of this trend on
people's food habits, argue that such food will replace traditional cuisine. However, I
completely disagree with this statement.
There are two main reasons why traditional cooking is likely to retain its popularity in the
nearest future. First of all, the variety of different diseases and viruses have rendered
cooking necessary. It is true that, due to the fast pace of life, people prefer to purchase
food, so they are able to save time. Although it is is more convenient to lead this kind of
life, the Covid-19 pandemic that an outbreak of new coronavirus disease 2019 makes it
clear that preparing a meal on their own can contribute preventing of transmission of
viruses. Because, according to research, heat treatment kills most viruses, including

coronavirus.
Secondly, the number of people suffering from allergies is increasing day by day. The
growing level of environmental pollution makes people more sensitive to the
components of the meal they consume. Consequently, it is necessary for allergics to be
concerned about each product that was used to prepare their meal. Most of them,
therefore, prefer to use the safest means of satisfying their hunger and cook by
themselves. Since cooking at home makes it possible to control each component that
they add to their meal. So, It generally turns out to be the safest option. Undoubtedly,
this trend is important evidence for increasing the popularity of traditional cuisine.
To sum up, In this modern world, there are two main reasons for cooking to be popular
among people. So, traditional cuisine is likely to be preserved in the nearest future.

Everyone should become vegetarian because they do not need to eat

meat to have a healthy diet. Do you agree or disagree

Nowadays, There are a various array of diets which scientists believe that the health
depends on them. Some people say that vegetarian should be considered as a main
type of the diet to delete fresh from meals to be healthy, because meat is not necessary
to the body. I completely disagree with the given statement on the basis of enriching
meat with essential ingredients and less calories in vegetables.
To begin with, The main reason is that the necessity of human's body to vital materials
are a determining factor for being healthy. Therefore, the fresher is full of variety of
ingredients that do not exist in vegetables. That is to say, providing that individuals tend
to have a healthy diet, under no circumstances is it possible to provide all vital materials
that they need to survive long term. Take an Iron (II) fully existing in meat as an
example; our body require to provide it to convey oxygen to cells for the sake of
breathing, which the small amount of vegetables contains Fe (II) and most of the iron in
the earth and the nature is Fe (III). Thus, Being a vegetarian not only is not rewarding to

human, but it is more likely to lead to shortage of vital ingredients of the body.
Having said that, however, enriching of meat with significant materials is not the only
crucial factor of avoiding vegetable diet. Another causative argument is that meat is full
of calories that muscles require for daily activity. That is to say, considering the amount
of calories that the public needs to be energetic for being active. The issue of whether
or not just only munching on vegetables is not probably possible to provide whole of
body needs calories. A good illustration for this is a carrot which each of one of it has
less than 10 Kcal energy comparison with 50 gram meat with almost 150 Kcal energy.
Hence, The more insisting on being vegetarian, the less calories from being energized.
To conclude, I personally take the view that it is rationally unacceptable to just use the
vegetables in the meals. This is because of that meat is full of essential materials that
barely exist in vegetables following by more calories of fresh as well.

Many people have difficulty maintaining a healthy diet. What are the
causes of this problem? How could it be solved?

Nowadays, several people are having a hard time maintaining their diets to a healthy
level. While the main causes of such problem are lack of discipline from individuals and
governments imposing higher prices of good quality foods, there are also practical ways
that can be done to solve this issue.
There are two main reasons why a healthy diet is not maintained by people. Firstly,
many are not disciplined when it comes to a healthy eating pattern. This is because a
lot of individuals today are not aware of the risks of having detrimental diseases, such
as heart attack or stroke, when a healthy diet is not properly practiced. Secondly,
people opt cut back from healthy food due to the high prices of good food that
governments insist. Many among the poor population cannot afford this and thus,
choose to buy cheap and unhealthy food, including fast foods, that increases their risk
of becoming obese, which then could add more health problems in the future.

Nevertheless, practical ways to solve the problem of maintaining a healthy diet are
manageable. One of these solutions would be to raise the awareness of the people with
regards to the benefits of eating healthy food continuously. Governments, for instance,
can strengthen the advertisements about the importance of a balanced diet and its
sources. Another way to address the issue of keeping a healthy diet is for individuals to
start their own vegetable gardens. This will lower the costs of food budget while
ensuring that people are eating fresh and organic homegrown crops; thus, can increase
their motivation and will to maintain a healthy diet.
In conclusion, though there are causes of why people struggle to keep their food intake
healthy, steps to solve it are possible if strictly followed and implied by the individuals
and the government.

Many people have difficulty maintaining a healthy diet. What are the
causes of this problem? How could it be solved?

It is considered by many that keeping healthy eating habits is difficult. This essay is
going to explain why people think this and what could be the possible solutions for this
problem.
The two main causes leading people to break their healthy diet are fast paced lifestyle
and the easy access to junk food. The first one justifies why people do not have the
time to eat properly since they are so busy working, studying, looking after their children
that they do not even have the opportunity to sit down and have a proper meal. Instead,
they have to buy fast food at the nearest place and eat it when they are in transit,
for example. The latter one complements the effects of a busy life when it comes to
convenience. Due to the ubiquity of oily fast food shops and unhealthy snacks with
prices more affordable than vegetables, for instance, those types of food are more
consumed rather than healthy ones. As a result, illnesses such as obesity and heart
disease are increasely affecting populations all over the world.

To address this health issue, individuals, corporations and governments have a role to
play. Citizens and companies should reduce their work journey. So that everyone would
be able to arrange time to plan and cook their own meals which means eating much
more healthy and cheaper because they would be likely to buy more natural food in the
supermarket and spend less money on eating out. And finally, to decrease the
consumption of junk food, the governments could elevate taxes on these products in
order to make them less appealing.
To conclude, it is clear that the current lifestyle in our modern society is driving us
towards health problems. If the right measures are not taken on time by people and
authorities, the level of diseases and early death will dramatically increase.

Everyone should adopt a vegetarian diet because eating meat can

cause serious health problems. Do you agree or disagree?

The eating habits of the general public keep changing with time. Some prefer vegan
food, some vegetarian and some prefer non-vegetarian. There is a section of people
who think that everyone should turn vegetarian to safeguard themselves from health
issues. I do not agree with this view.
To commence with, eating vegetarian meals can help people stay away from the
disease. For example, in 2007, the 1N1 virus, which infected chicken first, was
transmitted to humans by the consumption of infected eggs and chicken. This resulted
in the death of thousands of people worldwide. The over-consumption of meat exposes
one to the risk of cardiac diseases such as increased cholesterol and others.
On the other hand, eating non-vegetarian food has many benefits to it. The meat-based
diet provides the human body with the required nutrients such as proteins, vitamins in
ample quantity. This diet has proven to increase the immunity of a person. Many
doctors recommend this diet to their patients. For example, a friend of mine had weak
immunity and was feeling sick very often, her doctor had suggested her to have red

meat to improve her immune system. In addition, seafood is very good, especially for
human health because it provides the human body with vitamin A, proteins, Keratin
whose very little quantities are found in vegetarian diets.
To conclude, in my opinion, every person is independent to choose their dietary habits.
Both vegetarian and meat-based meals have their own positives and negatives. Some
bodies can respond better to vegetarian and some to non-vegetarian foods.

Everyone should adopt a vegetarian diet because eating meat can

cause serious health problems. Do you agree or disagree?

There is an option that the public should switch to a 100% vegetable diet due to, eating
animal proteins have been linked to some fatal health conditions. I strongly support this
notion because it can protect one from developing serious life-threatening diseases and
proffer a lasting solution to obesity.
Firstly, being entitled to a healthy lifestyle is one benefits of being a vegetarian as it
helps prevent certain diseases such as high blood pressure. To illustrate, a cardiologist
advised my father to switch to total vegetable diet when an x-ray showed his heart was
enlarged. Clearly, this provided a lasting solution since we stopped visiting the hospital
frequently. Therefore, it is wise to employ this positive approach so that these terminal
sicknesses can be prevented as well as, saving the healthcare sector some stress.
Secondly, being obese is naturally challenging, fortunately, zero animal protein meal is
one effective means to tackle this problem. For instance, I weighed 100kg five years
ago, unfortunately, all weight loss techniques available had no effect until I became a
vegetarian, as a result, I currently maintain 65kg weight over the years. Obviously, this
is a means to explore since no rigorous exercise is required and it was very effective for
me. Hence, it is evident the masses should be encouraged to adhere to a non-meat diet
.
To conclude, the idea that everyone should adopt 100 percent vegetable diet since

to, the fact that it can protect us from diseases and also, control obesity efficiently.

Eating a balanced diet is the most important factor for a healthy life.
To what extent do you agree?

In the modern world, many people are struggling with health related problems, and they
reckon to think that these challenges are mainly caused by poor eating habits and
consuming a lot of junk food and ready meals. In this regard, some people tend to think
that eating healthy is essential for the people. However, others feel that the main factor
of being healthy is doing physical exercises. In this case, personally, I believe that a
balanced diet is crucial for the citizens as well as for the athletes.
On the one hand, it is true that nowadays, many people are willing to keep their shape
fit. In this reason, it is critical to eat a proper food such as vegetables, fruits and
vitamins. Moreover, avoiding unhealthy feeding such as processed or GM food is
important for well-being. To illustrate, many athletes are not keen to consume such
kinds of nutrients. In addition, eating the right amount of nutrition is equally essential for
well-being, as consuming too many sugars and fat can lead to the obesity.
On the other hand, it is not enough to eat healthy nutrients, the individuals should do
physical exercises in order to maintain their soundness, as many dietitian and doctors
are declaring that without such kinds of works, people cannot stay healthy. Furthermore
, if the citizens prefer a sedentary lifestyle, thiss can lead to fatal consequences, as they
can gain some weight. For instance, many people are not willing to do such kinds of
activities, and some of them are office clerks. Accordingly, they are not able to dedicate
their time for working out.
In conclusion, although many people reckon to think that the most important thing for

equally important for the well-being. Personally, I believe that a healthy lifestyle is

Eating a balanced diet is the most important factor for a healthy life.
To what extent do you agree?

It is observed that the consumption of nutritious foodstuff is the most significant aspect
to live in good condition. In my opinion, I agree with the statement because it helps to
reduce the health problems and protect the environment.
To begin with, consuming a meal with more nutritions will minimise the health issues
such as obesity, diabetes, heart attack and so on. That is to say, half of the people in
the world are lagging in physical fitness because of sedentary lifestyles and fast food
consumption. Therefore, taking the balanced diet will reduce or avoid their illness and
aid them to live longer. For example, the lifespan of people in Japan is higher than any
other countries in this world because they consume appropriate proportion of eatables
to extend their life. Hence, proper diet will improve their health to be active and heal and
prevent all the ailments they have in their body.
Another point to consider is that it will help to save the surroundings. In other words, by
eliminating animal products will improvise the biodiversity and it will naturally prevent
from environment hazardous problems. Also, consuming the vegetables grown in local
farm aid to prevent the deforestation. For instance, in India, most of the people prefer to
eat organic foods and minimised the intake of meat or other animal products which help
them to stay fit and healthy. Thus, people consuming farm grown things and eliminating
animal items will prevent the atmosphere for them to live happily.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly agree that consuming nutrient food is a crucial thing for
vigorous survival because it not only lowers the physical problems but also rescue the
natural resources.

Eating a balanced diet is the most important factor for a healthy life.
To what extend do you agree?

There is a tendency to believe that following a healthy eating pattern would result in a
healthful life. Although, in my opinion, being healthy, as the most fundamental
requirement in everyone's life, cover the wide variety of prerequisites that eating habit is
just one of them. This essay will discuss this topic and introduce some other main
factors of a healthful life.
First of all, it should be said that " being healthy " is a multidimensional quality which
include both physical and mental aspects with a close mutual coordination. In fact,
paying attention to just one of them, not only would not necessarily lead to overall
health, but also may undermine the other involved factors. For example, there are
numerous cases who put their healthy diet on their top priority, but neglect their
unhealthy and destructive living environment. As a result, they may suffer from
psychological issues such as depression or even low self-esteem. Therefore, putting
emphasize on both body and mind well-being is the best efficient solution in order to be
healthy.
Moreover, having a healthful body will achieve through a combination of several
contributing factors. For instance, doing at least 30 minutes regular physical activity into
our daily routines, beside monitoring our foods, will have a more desired outcome
compare to just eating healthy. In other words, doing exercise not only keep us fit and
prevent obesity, but also reduce the risk of many diseases such as heart attack.
In conclusion, in spite of the importance of having a healthful diet, adhere to physical
activity and our mental wellbeing are two other significant parameters in order to live
healthy. In my perspective, the best coordination of our body organs will occur through
this way.

Some people believe that it is the resposibility of individuals to take

care of their own health and diet. Others however believe that
governments should make sure that their citizens have a healthy diet.
Diacuss both views and give your opinion.

There is a discussion of if each person should be the one who is responsible for his
health or if the governments should. In this essay, I will discuss both views and give my
thought why it is more about individual responsibility.
On one hand, it certains that the authorities should provide different policies to support
such issues. For instance, in many countries, citizens may not have proper education
lessons about nutrients. In fact, they may not be taught what should be considered as
healthy meals. Thus, people eat fast food and drink coke as their daily meals. It is clear
that if there are proper lessons for balanced meals, many people may end up with a
healthier life.
On the other hand, it cannot be denied that individuals should take care of their own
lifestyle and living a balanced life. For example, people may have different perceptions
about what should be considered as beautiful and healthy. As well as that, some may
argue that skinny bodies maybe their dream one, while others want theirs to be sporty.
With all of the different opinions, it is up to each person to decide which diets work for
them and how he should pursue it.
To conclude, individuals and the governments should both take efforts for the healthier
life of each citizen. However, I truly believe that it is more about individual responsibility
to take care of his health. It may be true that the governments should provide some
education but as we grow up, we should be able to earn the knowledge by ourselves.

Some people believe that it is the responsibility of individuals to take

The problem of the unhealthy diet and less energetic lifestyle is becoming more and
more disputed. Nowadays, some people argue that individuals should be responsible
for improving their health, while others believe that it is up to a government.
Nevertheless, in my opinion, everyone should have a responsibility for what they are
eating.
It is clear, that 40% of the world population suffers from obesity. There is no doubt that
individuals must take the power for their health whether it regards to young people or
adults. Therefore, if people cannot track the food they are eating, especially if it is junk
snacks or sugary drinks, no one will assist them to lose overweight. For example, many
children become less healthy and only parents can encourage them to accept more
nutritious cuisine or vitamins.
However, the governments have a responsibility in this situation too. They can regulate
the production of sustenance as well as the ingredients due to the taxation of the
factories or even farms, that supply product to markets and stores either in cities or
villages. Also, if they provided measures such as campaigns, there would be an
increase in citizens' awareness. For instance, these will encourage residents doing
exercises and taking good diets.
From what has been discussed above here should be drawn a conclusion that only
individuals must take ultimate responsibility in order to improve their health. But
governments also can have a role to play as only they can regulate the food supply,
which openly encourages a poor diet.

Over consumption of junk foods, has deteriorated the health of citizens of several
nations. In the viewpoint of some people, it is the state's duty to ensure that the
population of the country is consuming a balanced diet, while others are of the view
that, it is a person's responsibility to take care of it. I however, believe that only through
the combined efforts of the government and the individuals, this problem can be
resolved. This essay will analyse both sides of the argument and provide a logical
conclusion.
On one hand, it is appropriate to hold adults accountable for their own well-being, as
they have free will and hence, they choose what to eat and drink. For instance, if a man
selects to eat burgers and fries every evening, the authorities cannot stop him from
doing so. Additionally, some of the grown ups decide to lead sedentary lives by not
engaging themselves in any outdoor games or fitness activities, which leads to obesity
and other related disorders such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Moreover,
parents prepare the meals for their kids, and therefore, they should ensure that the
children are getting nutritionally rich food and are avoiding fast foods and beverages.
On the other hand, today, people are working longer hours then before, to maintain their
jobs in this competitive era, which leaves them with little choice but to rely on processed
and junk foods. Only the authorities, can regulate the ingredients of these eatables,
which cause harm to the human body. To cite an example, the insoluble fats and
carbohydrates in the canned foods can be banned by the nation. Furthermore, the state
can arrange campaigns and broadcast telly ads in order to create awareness among
the public, about the side effects of eating outside snacks like high blood sugar and
cardiovascular diseases.
To conclude, even though it is every person's responsibility to watch their diet, I think
government has a role to play in it as well. Only when harmful ingredients in the ready
to eat items are banned and the citizens feed on nutritious produce and perform
exercises regularly, people's health can be improved.

Nowadays, health is one of the most important issues that everyone should concern.
Some people believe that it is the individual that everyone has own responsibility.

On the one hand, people who believe that well-being and diet are essential for their
body. So, everybody must have a duty to take care themselves to be healthier because
if you do not do it, the bad results will affect your life. For example, bad healthy cause a
lot of diseases which you cannot do some activities in normal ways. Furthermore, you
will lose a lot of money to cure the diseases like obesity. In addition, people should
always take some exercises by themselves.
On the other hand, some argue that the governments have the responsibility to take
care their citizens to be a healthy diet. The main reason is countries can alive and drive
into the future because of citizens. Hence, governments should affirm that their
populations receive a good quality of food which contain a high nutritions. The
consequence that will occur if governments ignore about health is the cost of health
care will be increased because many people get sick. For instance, people lack of
nutrition or overweight. Thus, they have used government fund to pay about their
medicines.
In conclusion, every section should responsibility for health and diet. Especially,
governments must confirm that everyone has a good health.

Some people believe that it is the responsibility of individuals to take

care of their own health and diet. Others, however, believe that
governments should make sure that their citizens have a healthy diet.

It is argued that citizens should be responsible for their health and wellness. There is a
great number of people have a perspective that the government could do so. However,
the possibly adequate approaching is that both parties should collaborate. To achieve
this goal with the most beneficial way, it would not be one of either party’s duties. This
essay will demonstrate the advantages and benefits of their collaboration, supporting
the citizens to have a healthy life, well-being, and having good eating habits. Eventually,
the essay will describe the following possible effects.
Due to the fact that people overeat unhealthy food, including fast food, junk food,
processed food, and sugary drinks. Nowadays, they are conveniently accessible to
everyone. Adults, adolescent, and children that all consume enormous of those
unhealthy foods which can lead to severe health issues. For instance, high cholesterol,
obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other serious illnesses. Therefore,
individuals had better be aware of their diet, eating regular healthy food, and ensure the
intake of essential nutrient food.
At the same time, a sedentary lifestyle leads to health-related problems and the loss of
an individual's productivity. In recent times the number of overweight people is
continuously increasing than ever before, because of overeating unhealthy foods, and
having an inactive lifestyle. Also, an increasing number of people rely on vehicles as
well as less physically active in their work. As a result, they are burning fewer calories
and gaining weight. For this reason, people ought to be doing regular vigorous
exercises, along with being active in daily life and consequently they will be healthy and
fit. Furthermore, playing sport and regular exercises also help to reduce depression and
other mental disorders.
Nevertheless, the government is also an essential factor and play a significant role in
encouraging citizens being healthier and have life wellness. They are able to provide

health and diet education to their population. The best examples are that the
government could provide the free public health services and consultancy available for
all the ages. Moreover, the government is capable to exempting taxes on healthy foods
and fresh products in order to reduce the prices to regulate fast food industries and
reducing their profits including the production. If citizens are unhealthy, struggling with
health issues that could lead to a shorter life, this will be forthcoming pernicious
consequences in the country’s economic system. Hence, this is an another reason why
the government is a vital factor to resolve this issue.
To summarize, it could be stated that the collaboration between individuals and the
government are the most effective method which are essential factors to achieve results
in healthier citizens.

Many foods are shipped from far away. Some people think that eating
local food is more beneficial both environmentally and economically.
Do you think the advantages outweigh its disadvantages?

Some individuals prefer to consume locally-produced foods instead of imported ones

because of environmental and economic concern. In my opinion, some diets are
required to bring from overseas as they are healthy to have.
On the one hand, various imported foodstuff gives significant health benefits. Many
overseas fruits, vegetables and processed meals are filled with vitamins and good
additives, which are very much necessary for humans to supply nutritions in the body
and maintain fitness. Moreover, some of these items can not be cultivated locally
because of the unavailability of a suitable atmosphere and soil. Thus, purchasing such
stuff from abroad can supply essential nourishments to the residents. For instance,
avocado, which is a nutrient-dense fruit especially filled with a good fatty acid, not
farmed in Bangladesh but people of this country buy it from overseas.
In contrast, the shipment of food promotes environmental pollution and the expense of

the locals. Usually, commodities are transported from abroad by the air, water and road;
as a result, more fuels are burned and contaminated the atmosphere. Furthermore,
consuming foreign foods are costly as the importers have to pay taxes and tariffs in the
borders; these formalities raise the price of every single imported item. For example,
Bangladeshi inhabitants have to pay more than double for foreign strawberry in the
local market than to the locally produced one. However, diet shipments are pursued
with the demands of the products; therefore, there is less chance of frequent freights
and unnecessary intaken by the customers.
In conclusion, getting foodstuff from outside of the country is advantageous or not is a
controversial issue. Some people think that this trend drives climate pollution and
expenditure. Nevertheless, I believe, it is worthwhile to eat these considering the
essential compounds they contain.

In many countries, traditional foods are being replaced by fast food.

This has a negative impact on families, individuals, and society. To
what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, the generation appears keen to prefer fast foods rather than their own
native foods. Therefore, this adaptation, in particular, may not be beneficial for the
youths, as traditional foods tend to lose its existence could be a sign of detachment
from one’s culture. I completely agree that it has a counter impact on our society.
On the one hand, junk foods are considered as one of the favourite meals of the
majority. However, it is the least suggested diet by dieticians or health advisors.
Furthermore, these types of beverages are responsible for many emerging diseases,
one of them is obesity. For example, pizzas and burgers have a humungous amount of
fat. Although it tastes delicious, it causes an increase in weight, which is not good for
health.
One the other hand, the local foods contain a balanced amount of protein, vitamins, etc.

which is important for us to consume in order to be fit and active. Hence, these types of
meals do not cause dizziness and help us perform our day to day activities without
feeling lazy. These items also have medicinal properties that guard us against minor
viral diseases. For instance, having a glass of milk with turmeric in a day saves us from
throat infections and strengthens our immunity.
In conclusion, our priority should be keeping ourselves active and healthy, so that we
can get indulged in a plethora of activities without feeling restless and stressed. For this
reason, it is a must for us to vouch on traditional food and lesser on fast food. Thus, a
happy mind mitigates stress and motivate us to live for a longer period of time.

Many foods are shipped from far away. Some people think that eating
local food is more beneficial both environmentally and economically.
Do you think the advantages outweigh its disadvantages?

Exporting and consuming the imported food has become a global trend. While staple
trade is a profitable business, some people argues that consuming local food is more
beneficial for environment and economy. In this essay, I will discuss both advantages
and disadvantages of both versions of the argument and will present my view of the
latter.
Some people believe that relying on imported feed will help to address the demand for
supply of commodities. While it is true that importing saves a lot of time, thus easing the
entire supply chain mechanism, there are high chances of risk prone to health. Foods
are often perishable goods and to improve the life of the meal, exporters use a variety
of preservatives while packaging the food. These foods, when consumed, will have a
wide range of impact on the digestive system of the consumers in the long run. This
practice may be suitable for some countries with geographical disadvantages where
they may not have enough land to cultivate and produce their own food. For example,
Singapore has a very limited scope for farming and hence this country completely relies

on its neighbouring countries for supply of food.

In contrast, I would argue that consuming local cuisine has a great range of benefits.
First and foremost, locally produced foodstuff is available at a very affordable price and
they are often nutritious as it doesn’t take much time to reach the consumers. Also,
consuming the local food will generate a demand for supply and this will help uplift the
related industries like agriculture, farming, local food trade businesses. If food is
produced in abundance, it can be monetized by exporting to other countries.
In a nutshell, after taking all the above points into consideration, I firmly believe that
consuming local meal has a clear edge over importing and the advantages outweigh
the disadvantages at scale.

Many foods are shipped from far away. Some people think that eating
local food is more environmentally and economically. Do you think
the advantages outweigh its disadvantages.

It is undeniable that international trade has become popular among countries. Therefore
, some goods are imported from different nations or cities these days. However, some
people contend that dependence on local foodstuff is beneficial in the terms of cost and
environment-friendly. I personally believe that using products of our own city or area
brings more benefits but its few drawbacks could not be ignored.
There are quite a few reasons why I believe that people's preference in their own area's
cuisine has immense advantages. If the dwellers accept the products of their own city
or province, then the local businesses could be profitable as they could sell more and
more items to make more money. Moreover, transportation expenses could be less, if
there will be no delivery of food and eventually people could get the products on the
regular prices because there will be no shipping cost. In addition to that, the food which
is delivered by other countries or cities usually contained high packaging which
ultimately increases the amount of waste or garbage. For example, according to the

news of the Hindustan Times, there are several cooking items exported by Mexico to
Canada have a very high plastic packaging. Thus, from the above-mentioned instances,
it is clear that relying on local food products is worthwhile.
Conversely, sometimes it is seen that a particular area, city or country is not being able
to produce certain vegetables or fruits so in that case depending on others is quite
considerable. Also, almost every country has immigrants who love to consume their
cultural food items and if importing and exporting is an option, then definitely food could
be shipped from their home country. For instance, there are several items of Indian food
which are displayed in Walmart Canada these days and these items influence the
immigrants to enjoy the taste of their own nationality. Overall, it is important in some
circumstances to get a shipment of food products.
To conclude, it is true that due to globalization people are free to choose their snacks at
a global level but according to some people's perception local meal is less expensive
and ecologically safe and I am also in favour with this viewpoint as I have discussed
several positive aspects of the trend despite its few disadvantages.

Many foods are shipped from far away. Some people think that eating
local food is more environmentally and economically. Do you think
the advantages outweigh its disadvantages?

Generally speaking, it is known to all human beings nowadays that the world has now
become a small village after the booming of the technology and transportation facilities.
People can get to different parts of the world and get part of the world with all its goods,
foods, and culture back. Although some people are in favour of meals which are not
related to their culture and place of origin, it appears that relying on homegrown
foodstuff will have a great impact on any country’s economy and environment. In my
case, I favour local food or meals which is prepared from local ingredients due to
several reasons which I will be summarizing.
The first and most important aspect which will always ensure the sustainability of any

country’s nature and ecosystem is encouraging plantation and farming. These activities
will provide more green areas that are the main source of goods and better health. Also,
boosting the agriculture and its relative actions would aid in keeping the local soil active
and avoid its erosion. For example, due to the mass cutting of trees, in my home
country Lebanon, after each rainy day a lot of areas will be swimming in soil floods
which always cause a great deal of damage. All these environmental outcomes are
things that are worth a great deal of consideration for any nation.
The other area, where pushing and inspiring harvesting crops and raising domesticated
animals for local goods, will yield in improving a country’s economy. This is as a result
of providing jobs in farming, food production, and crop growing to reduce the
unemployment percentages. Moreover, this will dictate that less governmental budgets
would be allocated to import goods related to cooking from abroad. Thus, residing in
more money to improve other areas within the country like the educational system. As
an example of this, what has been done in Saudi Arabia, through having more relaxed
loans to develop farms. Thus, more money has been allocated to improve the
educational sectors and more local chains have been created, which are by the way,
equal or better than their international peers in my opinion.
In conclusion, any country’s economy and environment will be positively impacted by
relying on locally grown and prepared foodstuff and goods and it would make it self-
dependent.

People think that countries should produce foods that their

of the people. In my opinion, I partly agree with this issue.

On the one hand, there is some advantages side of developing economic and
environment of the country. Initially, the locally grown food is more safety as it does not
need to transport in a long time, so it will not contain chemical preservatives. The native
speakers are able to consume the fresh meats and vegetables, which are transported
directly from the farms to the markets. Furthermore, the agriculture is a very safe for the
environment. For example, the cattle raise for milk production, their manure would be
used to fertilize the plants to grow better. It creates a closed process in agriculture.
Additionally, this would ensure to the minimize the impacts on the environment. Japan
is the country that controls their population eats and import less as much as possible.
On the other hand, there is a significant amount of positive of imported goods. To begin
with, people nowadays have tended to consume the imported products because it
brings more vitamins and proteins which are better for their health than the locally
grown food. For instance, the Noni fruit from the United State can prevent the buyers
from all health problems and even the cancer. As the external goods are raising in the
present, the national economy will decrease in this trend. Besides, the carbon dioxide
will be emitted into the atmosphere by the shipping vehicles and really harmful for the
residents, so they would cause from the lung problems.
To sum up, consuming the nation products are really good, maintain and improve the
state budget, however, the oversea food is also needed need for the residents' health.

advertisements of the foods. In my opinion, there is convincing evidence that local

foods are eco-friendly, good for people to stay healthy. In this essay, I shall refer to the
number of studies that supports this view.
To begin with, domestic foods are far better for people environmentally as well as
economically. This is because the foods that we have followed from the origin and also
would buy at our local currency rate. Furthermore, the ingredients are produced through
our climate conditions. For instance, WHO found a study that the people who intake
local foods, they continue to stay healthy for lifelong. It is therefore clear that, since we
live in local conditions, domestic foods have suited more to our body constraints than
any other foreign foods.
Secondly, people reap high economic benefits if they buy local foods. This is because
local foods, in particular, opens up business opportunities and also the fact that
country's economy rate rises. For instance, the East Asian world trade union has
recently surveyed that Japan's economy rate is relatively high when compared to other
countries of the Eastern Asia region, due to their people mostly prefer to buy country
made products ranging from foods to other goods. Seen in this light, local foods can
also be vital of economical significance.
To conclude, although few people would argue outright against foreign foods, there are
certainly reasons why domestic foods most preferable. In the future, as some of the
hype surrounding foreign foods dies down, these reasons will no doubt appear more
attractive and conspicuous.

Many foods are shipped from far away. Some people think that eating

economy. On the other hand, others argue that globalization has transformed the local
market into the global market to serve native and foreign ingredients. As such, there are
both merits and demerits for this trend and this essay will explain how the advantages
can outweigh its disadvantages.
Firstly, globalization has made world into one single network and migrants from other
countries enjoy the luxury of availability of local spices through import and export
business between countries. Furthermore, food is also part of the culture in many
countries and people welcome new styles and ingredients to give their taste buds to
new tastes. For instance, Indians enjoy eating rice with curries made of different
ingredients and serve local migrants in overseas local goods are shipped to far away
countries. Needless to say, by this exchange between local and global market can
increase any country's economy.
Secondly, another pivotal aspect is that every countries landscape and soil fertility differ
from one country to another. Moreover, there are factors like climate, soil texture, and
natural resources play a crucial role in not depending exclusively on local food crops.
Similarly, domestic markets can benefit communal farmers, but a variety of crops may
not be possible in some countries. For example, countries like Australia only can have 3
crops per annum, but countries like India can have 4 crops per annum. Hence,
environmental conditions and availability of natural resources comes into action.
In conclusion, one can clearly see that the proportion of advantages to shipping goods
can outweigh the disadvantages of local products. Finally, the role of globalization is too
dire to ignore.

In today's modern world, science and technology are being used in the food industry to
make genetically engineered food in order to fulfil the needs of the large population.
Certain people think that these types of food are not only unhealthy but can also harm
the nature too. I completely agree with this and think that genetically manufactured
foods are harmful to both humans and nature.
On the one hand, I believe that people who eat engineered food have no nutrients and
are harmful to nature. In other words, snacks that are made in factories are just tasty
and does not have any nutritional value. For example, the amount of protein in a natural
egg is more than an egg made in a factory. Furthermore, waste from these industries is
another aspect of the food industry. It is affecting nature in different ways such as water
pollution and garbage in the oceans.
on the other hand, eating genetically engineered foods can have several drawbacks.
Firstly, it may cause diseases such as cancer. For instance, in a survey posted in the
Times, people who eat more food that is prepared in factories have ninety per cent
more chance of getting cancer than a person who does not eat. Secondly, since it does
not have any nutrients value in it, eating industrial food does not have any benefits.
Because of such reasons I prefer people should not eat food manufactured artificially.
To conclude, I strongly believe that people should eat natural food as it is more healthy
for them as well as nature. Moreover, if they eat artificially manufactured food, it can
increase the chances of them getting diseases such as cancer.

unhealthy foods are entirely necessary despite some financial burdens.

Health conscious individual has always been wary of unhealthy eating habits, They are
justifiably worried about having highly processed and chemicalized substances that
could potentially make them sick in addition, these people naturally feel protective of
their health. For instance, A study published in the American General of Clinical
Nutrition stated that people who ate junk food performed poorly on cognitive tests.
These few instances have bolstered existing fears in certain groups of individual that
unhealthy foods are not necessary and potentially more dangerous to oneself.
Despite the risk associated with the junk food the idea of having it, still common.
Moreover, the vast majority of the people are claiming the various health benefits of
eating junk foods because they feel it contains all the nutrients that the body needs and
the taste that contain one cannot avoid it easily, for example, calcium is one of the
nutrients that found in unhealthy foods which helps in the greater development of
healthy bones and teeth. Overall, unhealthy foods are healthier in contributing to
nutritions that body really need and nothing can replace the taste of those foods.
In conclusion, this essay argued that people who are in favour of taxes on unhealthy
diets, they are well aware of the future outcomes. In my opinion, implementing higher
taxes is an absolute imperative that is entirely justified despite the small and occasional
benefits

SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT A GOOD DIET AND EXERCISE ARE NOT
NECESSARY FOR A HEALTH AND LONG LIFE. TO WHAT EXTENT DO
YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE?

It is considered by some that having a balanced diet and exercise are not important for
wellness and achieving longer life. In my own perspective, I fully disagree with them as I
believe that both of these are crucial.
One good reason to have a balance diet is that it promotes better health. People who

eat nutritious foods can prevent being sick. For instance, when they are avoiding large
consumptions of fats, sugar and sodium, it can keep their body away from diseases
such as hypertension and diabetes, compared to people who are not. Hence, eating
nutritious food is necessary for a healthy body.
Moreover, aside from diet, having a daily exercise is likewise vital in increasing the life
expectancy of a human. Daily physical activity can fight obesity and keeps a good blood
circulation, thereby making the cardiac healthy as well. For example, a person who has
a sedentary lifestyle has a higher chance of dying early as opposed to a person who
always visit a gym to exercise. As a result, the latter is expected to live longer than the
former, as this activity can prevent any problems regarding well-being. Thus, it is a must
that people do routine physical activity.
In conclusion, some people say that both healthy eating habits and workout are not
significant. However, I fully believe that if a person wants to live for longer years and be
healthy, he must eat the right kind of foods and make sure to have exercised regularly.

Some people think that killing animals for food is cruel, but others
claim that animals are a necessary part of diet. What is your opinion?

There is a range of diet available nowadays, which can make hard to decide what to
choose from. In the last years, many people have been choosing not to consume any
kind of source that is animally derivated, most cases including food. Could it have a bad
impact on our body needs?
On the one hand, meat-eaters assume it is essential to keep the organism nourished
with all vitamins and proteins the human body depends on to work well. Moreover, a
meat-based diet provides protein in a high scale, being one of the essentials in a meal.
Although, the cost of it has become really high and even unaffordable for part of the
population, making them figure out other possibilities as a vegan diet, for example.
On the other hand, those who have been tried new alternatives, like vegetarian or

vegan, realized they can make less impact on the environment but still get all the body
necessities from vegetables, beans, plants and so on. Furthermore, perhaps having half
the cost of another option and reducing the cruelty of killing animals only for the
pleasure to taste it. Also, plenty of supplements could be currently found to reinforce
protein intakes.
To sum up briefly, even though many people declare killing animals for food is
necessary, resources have been proving it might not be true. Whether eating meat or
not has pros and cons but I still truly believe we would have a better life in many ways
and consequently improve our environment when adopting a cruelty-free lifestyle.

Nowadays, people have developed poor eating habits and do not eat
balanced diet. What are the reasons behind this? Suggest possible
solutions to control this.

These days people are not following a proper diet plan and their pattern of food intake
is erratic. There are multiple reasons for this, budget constraints and busy lifestyle
being the most important. This can be mended by taking the meals at a proper time and
avoiding junk foods.
On the one hand, an imbalance in the dietary habits is the cause of various diseases
and the factors responsible for this are the hectic routine and poor income. Due to the
advancements in life, the people are too much involved in their work, so they don't get
enough space to eat something. Moreover, the per capita income has also declined,
leading to less income which ultimately affect the eating habits. Therefore, all this has a
detrimental effect on the health of the population. For instance, the statistics have
revealed that the USA citizens are more prone to heart diseases due to unhealthy
intake.
On the other hand, efforts must be put in to improve the overall condition of the society
by following a proper timetable of meals and refraining from fast food items. There must

be awareness campaigns to guide the masses to take the breakfast, lunch and dinner
at a specific point and avoid missing the meals. Secondly, the inclination of this
generation towards the consumption of burgers and pizza should be discouraged. Thus,
all these steps will help to make the lives disease free. For example, the UK officials
have given a plan in all the schools that is to be implemented by all for a better future
generation.

our conditions better.

solutions to control this.

In this modern era, a large number of people are observed to be negligent of their
health as they eat unbalanced diets with no control of their bad eating habits, leading to
health related issues later on. This essay delves into the requirement to establish
reasons for these poor habits and to develop various solutions to address this problem.
To commence with, there are a number of factors responsible for poor eating habits
among individuals. One possible reason is that life has become busy nowadays.
Nobody finds enough time to devote to preparing food at home, which is healthy for the
human body. Because of this, people are left with no option but to consume fast food.
The popularity of fast food restaurants is also growing day by day, adding fuel to this
fire. For example, people are bombarded with attractive messages of offers and

this, individuals can take responsibility of their near and dear ones to encourage eating
home prepared food as compared to fast food which can be allowed, for example, once

health. Along with the steps taken by government and the positive attitude towards this
issue adopted by the people themselves can help in controlling the poor eating habits

Everyone should become vegetarian because they do not need to eat

meat to have a healthy diet. Do you agree or disagree

Many people choose to become vegetarians since a vegetarian diet is believed to be

better for the human body. Although I agree that eating only plant foods provides us
with a healthier diet, I do not believe that everyone should stop eating meat in order to
enjoy good health.
There are a variety of reasons why becoming a vegetarian is beneficial. Firstly, science
has proven that vegetarians have lower risks of developing several chronic illnesses
such as heart disease, diabetes, some forms of cancer and obesity. This is due to the
fact that a healthy vegetarian diet is typically low in fat and high in fiber. Secondly,
eating vegetables properly gives us adequate nutrition to support our bodies.
For example, raw spinach is a great source of Vitamins A, K, E as well as calcium.
As a result, instead of eating many kinds of food to get these vitamins, we only need a
bowl of spinach.
However, there are some disadvantages to take into consideration before becoming a
vegetarian. Perhaps the principal one is that if a vegetarian’s daily meals are not
properly balanced, he or she might suffer from a lack of calories to meet his or her
energy needs. Consequently, they will feel lethargic and unable to do anything
energetic. In addition, food which is eaten raw, steamed or stir-fried retains more

vitamins and minerals than that which is boiled in water or deep-fried. Thus, culinary
traditions such as those in Vietnam are the most advisable ones to follow in preparing
vegetarian meals. Vegetarians brought up using Western cooking methods should,
therefore, either change their cooking style or else adopt a non-vegetarian diet.
In conclusion, although healthy, a vegetarian diet is not for everyone and it requires
care in the choice of foods and preparation of meals.
