PROPOSAL

What form of production do you intend on producing? (short film, music video, stop motion
animation, documentary)
I want to create a comedic short film that follows a group of characters stuck at home due to Covid 19
in an online business meeting which keeps going wrong. The reason I want to create this kind of short
film is that most productions about the effects of Covid 19 on people have been very serious and sad
so I want to make a film with a more lighthearted and comedic tone.

Based on the performances in your previous units, what areas do you need to improve on this time
round?
I think one area I need to improve is my sound design in my productions as in my previous work my
sound design has been criticised so I can use this opportunity to improve it more.

Why have you chosen this production? What visual based skills do you feel it will help you to
develop?
All my previous productions have either had a serious tone or a mix of a serious and comedic tone but
I have never made a full on comedy before. This unit has now given me the opportunity to make a
comedy and as a result has allowed me to experiment with the types of films I can make. This will
also give my the chance to tryout some new filming techniques.

Will you be working individually or as part of a 2 person team? Why have you chosen this?
For the most part I will be working on this production alone in areas such as pre and post production.
I chose to make this production due to the current restrictions I am under due to the pandemic.
However, another reason I chose to make this production was because I have never made a comedy
before and I want to experiment with making one.
