Activity: (M01-Worksheet 01) Topic 01: Ethics Globalization and Millennials

INSTRUCTION: Answer the following questions in essay form.

1. As a Filipino millennial, what are your positive characteristics and how can
you use these characteristics as a future professional?
➢ First and foremost, being techy-savvy. With our generation today
wherein, technology has greatly affected the way people
communicate, learn, and think, having knowledge to use
technology I can accomplish more in just a short period of time. Next,
being achievement-oriented, because achieving something makes
me empowered and when I am empowered, I continue to strive and
seek for what I can do or achieve more. And lastly, being team-
oriented, being with a group of people with the same goal and plan
in life the more I grow as a person and also make the organization I
belong to prosper too.

2. What are your negative characteristics as a Filipino millennial and how can
you improve those negative characteristics?
➢ For me, being such an attention seeker, most of us (millennials) wants
to be noticed and to belong with what is trend which is not
appropriate. In my case, I work with no intent of seeking so much
attention or showing off instead I just keep doing what I can do and
just letting others to see my worth without asking for it.
Correspondingly, being prone to job-hopping. Yes, it is true that we
(millennials) always look for something new and better but it is not be
that exaggerated in the extent that we need to change position or
ranks in a certain organization in purpose of experiencing that “new
and better” thing. Why not just go with the process not to do shortcut
and focused on what we have and then develop that to come up
with something “new” style or approach and something “better”
ways of doing our role in our organization, in that way, being
promoted to new position or rank is a reward or just a bonus.

3. Describe the generation gap between you and your parents.

➢ The generation gap between me and my parents can be
distinguished easily and I can say that even my Mama is older than
my Papa, she is techier than that of my Papa and that is the reason
why she knows to get along with the millennials and the trends. In
short, the gap in our generations may be literally far but the impact
of customs of the new generation influenced them that they can
even keep up with the changes of how things being done during
their time with how things being done right now.
