1. Identify the most important facts surrounding the case

Important elements of the situation are reported (diagnosis). Ability to gather relevant
information in order to analyze and synthesize the case and answer the assignment
questions.

2. Relevance of the argument to answer questions*

The content of the text must be organized to answer the assignment questions available
on ZoneCours. The text should not be structured around the questions (i.e., a list of
questions followed by answers), but the answers should follow a logical order which
allow to analyze the case. The answers should specify what assumptions, facts of the
case or results of the analysis were used to formulate your conclusions.
If recommendations have to be formulated, the key problems should be described first.
Explain why the problem (or the opportunity) presents itself and demonstrate a
thorough understanding of the purpose of the study (“the mandate”). The possible
alternatives to alleviate the problems or to create a business opportunity should be
evaluated. Define the important criteria to evaluate the alternatives (e.g., benefits,
advantages, disadvantages, risks, savings, gains) that the company can take to solve its
problem or meet the challenge it faces. This analyze should be done in order to support
your recommendations. Make sure that your recommendations are implementable
(explain how and why) and sustainable.

3. Quality of presentation and organization of ideas

Quality of the language, structure and organization of the text, clarity, originality,
effectiveness of the reported information and relevance.

* If applicable in the context of the case: Indicate your choice for the best action plan and explain in detail why you made this selection. You may
also want to explain why other alternatives have not been selected. Your final recommendation should logically flow from the rest of your case
analysis and should clearly clarify what assumptions were used to determine your conclusion.
