Rakib : Good morning, Myself.
Myself: Good morning. How are you?
Rakib : Not so good, friend. I’m suffering from weakness.
Myself: Oh sorry. Have you not consulted a doctor?
Rakib : Yes, I have. But the medicine is not working.
Myself: So far I know, you don’t walk in the morning. Morning walk is very good for
health.
Rakib : I know but I don’t walk in the morning.
Myself: Walking in the early morning is highly beneficial to the physical fitness of a person.
Walking through gentle breeze refreshes both body and mind.
Rakib : Obviously, but I can’t rise from bed in the morning.
Myself: But you should try. Morning air is less polluted by the smokes of the mills, factories
and vehicles.
Rakib : Even I can’t concentrate on my studies. I feel sleepy and tired.
Myself: The only medicine for you is to walk in the fresh air. The greatest advantage of
morning walk is the good start it gives you in your day’s work.
Rakib : Please pray for me. After recovery from illness, I’ll walk in the morning.

Myself: Good morning, Rakib.
Rakib : Good morning, how are you?

Bangladesh.
Myself: Hi, Rakib.

Rakib : I’m so so. But thinking seriously over a problem.
Myself: What’s about?
Rakib : I always want your suggestion. It’s about illiteracy problem of Bangladesh.
Myself: Yes, undoubtedly, it’s a big problem. But we have some way to solve it.
Rakib : How?
Myself: Our government should take some steps to eradicate it. Education should be made
free to all and it should be made compulsory.
Rakib : Is it possible for government only?
Myself: The literate people will also help the government.
Rakib : I also think so. But our country is poor. What will the poor section do?
Myself: In this case food for education programme should be commenced and the poor
should be encouraged to come to school.
Rakib : We can also help them. In our leisure we can also teach and encourage the illiterate
people to be educated.
Myself: Good idea! So, from now we can do it. It’s the time!
Rakib : Exactly! Let’s try!

Rakib : Which place attracted you most?
Myself: Undoubtedly National zoo at Mirpur. If I get any other chance, I will visit it again.
Rakib : Please, don’t forget to accompany me to the place.

Myself: Hi, Rakib. How are you?
Rakib : I’m not well. I have been suffering from cough.
Myself: I have heard you have become a chain smoker. Smoking may be one of the major
reasons of your sickness.
Rakib : Doctor has also said so.
Myself: Why don’t you give up smoking? Don’t you know the dangers of smoking?
Rakib : I tried to give it up. But I couldn’t. I cannot even concentrate on my study without
smoking.
Myself: If you had thought seriously about its bad effect, you would not have smoked
anymore.
Rakib : How much harmful can smoking be?
Myself: There are huge disastrous sides for smoking. Smoking causes many fatal diseases.
It causes cancer, heart attack, chronic bronchitis etc. Besides, it is also very expensive. The
other people who are beside him become the victim of passive smoking.
Rakib : Is there anything good in smoking?
Myself: Of course not. Nobody could put any argument in favour of smoking.However, a
good man do such misdeed or indulge bad habit then he turns himself into a bad man.
Rakib : Well, within a short time I will give up smoking totally.
Myself: Thank you, the sooner you give it up, the better it will be fine.

Rakib : Hello, Sifat. How are you?
Myself: Fine. And you?

Rakib : I am also fine. But I am little bit concern about mobile phone.
Myself: What is the reason of your concern?
Rakib : I think mobile phone does some demerits to us beside its merits.
Myself: You are right. I also noticed that.
Rakib : Do you know about it?
Myself: Sometimes it becomes the cause of health hazard, I think.
Rakib : Yes it is. Not only physically but also it is responsible for our mental health
condition.
Myself: What kind of abuse do you notice?
Rakib : Most of the people talk over mobile phone for long time. It causes brain tumor,
blood pressure, genetic unfitness etc.
Myself: It also creates opportunity for community crime.
Rakib : It’s true. But my friend, we all are really benefitted rather than its demerits.
Myself: You also tell the truth; it is really helpful. It makes our life easy and comfortable
in communication.
Rakib : Nowadays, you can use it as a computer device.
Myself: Everything has merits and demerits but we should find the fair way for our own
betterment.

most of the people of our country are illiterate.
Myself: Yes, ignorance or illiteracy is a curse in our country.
Rakib : Illiteracy hampers all our development programme.
Myself: Certainly. On the other hand, education is compared to light.
Rakib : How can we eradicate illiteracy and educate our people?
Myself: We should set up adult literacy center at every village.
Rakib : Of course.
Myself: Besides, we should encourage all parents to send their children to school. We
should also convince them that without education no nation can go ahead.
Rakib : Of course. I think that all educated person should come forward to eradicate this
problem.
