Behaviorism
-The prediction and control of human
behavior in which introspection and/or
independent thnking play no essential
part of it's teaching methods.
-All human actions and responses can
be explained in terms of reflexes
contditiones by reward and
punishment.
-Focus on animal behavior.
-Learn rather than unlearned behavior.
-Punishment and reinforcement are
direct causes of behavior.
Neo Behaviorism
-Behavior cannott be full understood
simply in terms of observable stimuli
and reactions.
-Introduce mediating variables into the
behaviorist stimuls-response scheme.
-Learning is the primary mechanism by
which organisms adjust to a changing
environment.
-People create mental maps of things
they percieved.
-Mental maps help individual to
respond other things or task later if
they see similarity.
