Cavite, Philippines

–He was 58 years old when he


Died because of paralysis in
Manila City and was buried at the North cemetery.
–Was a son of the revolutionary leader Mariano Alvarez.
-He became Captain General of the Magdiwang forces and
fought with distinction against Spain in the battles of 1896-
1807.
-He was a revolutionary general a founder and
honorary president of the first directorate of the
Nationalista Party also known as “KIDLAT NG
APOY” (LIGHTING OF FIRE)

–He was rejoiced in the present-day Cavite City as the


“Hero” of the Battle of Dalahican.

–He was a member of the Katipunan Secret Society.

GEN. ARTEMIO GARCIA RICARTE
  (October 20, 1866 – July 31, 1945)
 was a Filipino general during the Philippine Revolution
and the Philippine–American War.
 He is regarded as the Father of the Philippine Army, and
the first Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the
Philippines (March 22, 1897- January 22, 1899) though
the present Philippine Army grew out of the forces that
fought in opposition to, and defeated the Philippine
Revolutionary Army led by General Ricarte.
  Ricarte is also notable for never having taken an oath of
allegiance to the United States government, which
occupied the Philippines from 1898 to 1946
EMILIO FAMY AGUINALDO
EMILIO FAMY AGUINALDO
 (Born March 22, 1869, near Cavite, Luzon, Philippines—died
February 6, 1964, Quezon City)
 Filipino leader and politician who fought first
against Spain and later against the United States for the
independence of the Philippines.
 Aguinaldo was of Chinese and Tagalog parentage. He attended
San Juan de Letrán College in Manila but left school early to
help his mother run the family farm. In August 1896 he was
mayor of Cavite Viejo (present-day
Kawit; adjacent to Cavite city) and was the local leader of
the Katipunan a revolutionary society that fought bitterly and
successfully against the Spanish.
 In December 1897 he signed an agreement called the Pact of
Biac-na-Bato with the Spanish governor general. Aguinaldo

ANDRES DE CASTRO BONIFACIO
 (November 30, 1863 – May 10, 1897)
 was a Filipino revolutionary leader and the president of
the Tagalog Republic.
 He is often called "The Father of the Philippine
Revolution“.
 He was one of the founders and later Supremo (Supreme
Leader) of the Kataas-taasang, Kagalang-galangang
Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan or more commonly
known as the "Katipunan", a movement which sought the
independence of the Philippines from Spanish colonial
rule and started the Philippine Revolution.
  He was also one of the Filipino historical figures to be
recommended as a national hero of the Philippines.
The events I have related in this account of the katipunan and the
revolution
Reverberate with shouts of “Long live our patriots!” and “Death to the
enemy!”
These were in answer to the enemy’s assaults with mausers and cannons,
the
latter fired from both land and the sea. The Magdiwang governement
honored
me with an appointment as captain general, or head of it’s army Gen.
Artemio
Ricarte was lieutenant general.

I will now attempt to write down what I saw and what I know about the
Katipunan and the Revolution. First, I shall narrate the events relating to
the
Revolution beginning from March 14, 1896: Then I shall deal with the
organization
and activities of the most venerable Supreme Society of the sons of the
People
(Kamahalmahalan at katastaasang Katipunan ng mga anak ng Bayan )
The Katipunan account is based on records which were entrusted to me by
The province of cavite, to the south of Manila, had two
Katipunan councils: the Magdalo, based in kawit, was
headed by Emilio Aguinaldo;and the Magdiwang,
based in Noveleta, was led by the Alvarez Family.
