CONTRACT OF DEPOSIT

KNOW BY ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This Contract, executed by and between:

MEL LOISE M. DELMORO, of legal age, Filipino, single, and a resident of 20 V.


Francisco St., Brgy. Krus na Ligas, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines, (hereinafter
referred to as the DEPOSITOR);

-and-

MA. ANGELICA L. TOLENTINO, of legal age, Filipino, Single and a resident of 706
Mercedez St., Ermita, Manila, Philippines, (hereinafter referred to as the
DEPOSITARY);

WITNESSETH: that-

WHEREAS, the DEPOSITOR is the owner of the book INTRODUCTION TO PUBLIC


INTERNATIONAL LAW (hereinafter referred to as the BOOK) by Joaquin G. Bernas,
SG;

WHEREAS, the DEPOSITARY is the friend and classmate of DEPOSITOR in Arellano


University School of Law for two (2) years;

WHEREAS, the DEPOSITOR requested that the DEPOSITARY temporarily keep the
BOOK for safekeeping and the latter has agreed and received the book from the
DEPOSITOR.

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, the parties
hereby agree as follows:

1. That the DEPOSITOR has transferred the possession of the BOOK to the DEPOSITARY and the
latter hereby acknowledges the fact of such receipt;
2. That the DEPOSITARY shall keep the BOOK free of any charges to the DEPOSITOR;
3. That the DEPOSITARY shall keep the BOOK for a period of 60 days unless
otherwise extended by both parties in writing;
4. That the DEPOSITOR can demand the return of the BOOK at any time provided he
informs the DEPOSITARY beforehand within a sufficient reasonable time;
5. That the DEPOSITARY cannot use the BOOK, nor can he lend or lease it to a third
person unless authorized by the DEPOSITOR in writing.
6. That the DEPOSITARY shall maintain the BOOK in good condition and shall be
liable for any deterioration or damage to it.
7. That in the event of loss due to the DEPOSITARY’s fault or negligence, she shall
pay the full purchase price of PESOS: TWO THOUSAND (PHP2,000.00) Philippine
Currency.
