Completed application form, including all information requested

A recording (video, or audio only)
• minimum 30 minutes in duration
• include at least 3 contrasting works from different periods.
The recordings should include at least one work composed before 1850
(including transcriptions of those works) - exceptions apply to instruments
for which no solo works were composed before 1850, e.g. trombone,
accordion.
• recordings must have been made within 6 months of the application
• may be submitted by links to online recordings (a created YouTube playlist is
ideal), or by CD/DVD.
• Covid-restrictions: the Trustees recognise that recordings may need to be
made in less-than-ideal circumstances as access to studios may still be
limited. Please don’t apply filters to your sound to make it sound like it
comes from a hall if it’s recorded in your home. The Trustees will be able to
assess your musicianship and skill from the ‘raw’ recordings.
Two references (in the format provided) supporting your application
• one from your current teacher, and
• one from a prominent musician.
References should be submitted directly by your referee by email or post.

You may be invited for an audition and personal interview with the Music Co-ordinator, after
which you will be advised of the Hattori Foundation’s decision.

Please allow at least 2 months for your application to be processed.

ALL applicants will be notified in writing as to the outcome of their application.

Applicants must not contact any trustee regarding their application.

Any such approach would disallow their application.

All correspondence and completed application forms and references should be

Hello.
I have more projects in the future. I want to study lute and flamenco, courses that are not
in the Purcell high school program.
At the same time I want to deepen my knowledge of classical guitar by taking lessons with
a famous teacher (Pepe Romero, Denis Azabagic, Patrascu Stefanescu Catalin). I would
like to participate in certain classical guitar competitions (Porec Fest, Omis Guitar Fest,
Guitar Katna Hora, Forum Guitar Wiem, Zagreb Fest, GuitarArt Festival Plovdiv, guitar
United Sarajevo, Alirio Diaz Competition, Sarajevo International Guitar Fest, Albania
Guitar Fest , Pleven Guitar Fest), but unfortunately, due to the covid epidemic, most of
them are on standby (they don't even know if they organize the contest) or take place
online. Regarding the participation in the masterclass, I mention that they were also
generally canceled.
Kind Regards

(My CV is in Romanian, I did not manage to translate it into English and it is not updated.
It lacks the period June 2020 until now, during which time I won the 2nd prize at the
Albania International Festival and the 2nd prize at the Leicester Music Fest.)

I started studying classical guitar at the age of 10, at C.N.A Dinu Lipatti, Bucharest, under
the guidance of Professor Aurelian Andrei, where I studied for 6 years.
At the age of 16 I transferred to The Purcell School of Music, London, where I studied with
Professor Francesco Mariani.
I mention that I am the winner of over 80 national and international awards, of which I
mention (Andres Segovia Guitar Fest, Sinaia Guitar Fest, Transylvania International
Guitar Fest, etc.), a list of contests and places won in them you will find in my C.V.
In concert I sang with the school at the Romanian Athenaeum and solo at the University of
Music in Bucharest. As a future concert, I am preparing Concierto de Aranjuez, which I
will sing in the Senior School Concerto Competition, organized at Purcell School.
