Subject; Application of MEAL Officer

Dear Madam/Sir,

I am writing this letter to apply for the position of MEAL Officer. Having worked as a survey facilitator
and Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant, I am confident of being the right fit for the above-mentioned
job.

I would like to inform you that I have experience working in different fields such as volunteer teacher,
youth-led survey facilitator, and M&E Assistant. My working experience highlights some relate that
speak of my suitability for this position –
 Lead the selection of youths for project activities and follow-up with selected youth enumerators who
will lead data collection in the field
 Support youth enumerators to collect primary data through field visits, and communities through
HH survey, focus group discussions (FGDs) and key informants interview (KII)
 Conduct qualitative and quantitative field monitoring and verification of youth’s assessment
activities
 Ensure that the assigned data collection areas are covered within the timeline
 Ensure data is collected through mobile tools (Kobo Collect), ensure youths enumerators have access
to and understand technology tools
 Assist the M&E Officer in the development and maintenance of databases where data and indicator
are tracked and compared over the life of the project; ensure the that these databases are accurate
and that the raw data is cleared and coded correctly
 Provide feedback to programme and partner staff on methodologies and results of assessments in
order to ensure that results of M&E are used to implement programmatic changes accordingly
 Supports the design and development of M&E tools and resources to collect and evaluate activities
 Assisting in planning and conducting field-level data collection and analysis using different
techniques including site monitoring, household surveys, market assessment, focus group discussion
and key informant interviews
 Support the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, writing and compiling reports to inform
programme development and implementation

As interpersonal skill, I am a very flexible and adapted person depending on the nature of the work
without discrimination and hesitation. I am being able to interact with people from multiple backgrounds.
