Key qualifications: I am a senior irrigation and drainage design engineer, Construction engineer,
Construction supervision engineer, and hydrologist as well and have attended one first, and one second
degrees including ten short term trainings ranging from few days to three months in different managerial
and engineering design aspects of water resources engineering and management. I have long work
experiences in five different countries: namely, Ethiopia, Uganda, Israel, India, and Swaziland. I have
worked on several different posts (Managerial, Department Head, Team leader and expert’s level) in eight
institutions (Ministries, NGOS, and Private organizations) during the last 25 years in consulting services of
lots of water works and related activities in the fields of irrigation development, drainage, and road
projects financed by GOV and/or International organizations such as WB, FAO, IFAD, AFD, ADB, AGP,
etc. throughout Ethiopia & Uganda both privately and with different national (like Saba Engineering PLC,
Generation Integrated Rural Development Consultant (GIRDC), Terrace Engineering PLC, Letinsa S.C.,
Motion Consultancy and Training, and Bridge Construction PLC) and international consulting companies
(namely Halcrow Group LTD of UK, and BRLi Engineering of France).

I have also both office and extensive field experiences ranging from harsh to lowland environments. I
have been undertaking (i) Identification of project sites and planning both in the field as well as on the
desktop, (ii) Identification of headwork sites as well as headwork options, (iii) Study of climate and
hydrometeorology, Aquatic hydrology, Urban hydrology and detail designs of different irrigation headwork
structures (such as Diversion weir, Pump, Dam, River side Intake Structure, Spring Protection) and
related development project components (such as surface, sprinkler and drip irrigation and drainage
