with the site safety instructions.
The instructions marked in the following tables are to be respected in order to avoid
corporeal accidents.
It is to be noted that BEAUDREY’s supply is only a part of the concerned system. All safety-
related matters must be handled by the operator on a global basis including civil engineering,
pipe-work, electrical equipment, neighbouring equipment, plant operating sequences etc.
Whenever in doubt as to how to proceed, do not hesitate to ask BEAUDREY.
These instructions are only recommendations, safety measures and safe operations at site
must be adapted to local rules, regulations and safety practices.

FOREWORD
This document has been established to enable the installation of the Screening Equipment
described in the annexed sections.
It is based on the following assumptions:
- that the Installation Contractor employs teams of qualified personnel, fully acquainted with on-
site installation methods, with support of a Beaudrey's technical support engineer ( 1).
- that all appropriate tooling and handling equipment, means and apparatus for required testing
and controls are available.
- that the installation team took note of the risk analyses corresponding to the equipment.
Using this manual, it is possible to find all necessary information, installation sequences and
procedures.
The installation instructions are presented as a series of procedures for the assembly of various
parts of the machine, following a logical sequence defined as a result of on site experience.
Each procedure enables to identify all different components, their quantity and position in a
given assembly.
• For example 2001-103 x 12
Necessary quantity
Parts Nber
It also indicates the procedure explanations with necessary values and tolerances.
To ease the installation operations, a packing list reference is indicated in this manual.
Every part to be assembled is designed with a sticker indicating:

1.3 DESCRIPTION
The screen consists in a continuous articulated, rotating screening area which separates the pit
into two compartments.
Water flows from the outside of the screen, through the mesh towards the inner compartment.
Loss of head is created by the debris which accumulates on the screening surface. This head-
loss is measured and the various pre-set differentials monitor the machine's operating cycles.
A powerful back-washing system, in the form of a high-velocity water blade (from the inside
towards the outside) throws the debris into a collecting trough. The debris are then carried away
through flumes running at the service deck. The wash water is collected by a debris trough

Complete procedure
BEAUDREY test campaign referenced C3315
When using a pneumatic nut runner to tighten teflon-coated bolts, tightening must be
performed in one straight operation. If this is not possible, the bolt must be changed and
the operation recommenced.
Pneumatic nut runner referenced PTM0500 can handle torque values from 30 Nm to 500
Nm.
The torque values indicated in this document only concern the tightening of screws and bolts
to be used for mechanical or structural assemblies.
They are not adapted for specific assemblies such as roller bearings, seal tightening, etc.
The torque value to be used on pipework flanges must be calculated on the basis of the
information provided by the seal supplier.
The torque value for pipework accessories must be provided by the supplier of these
accessories.

- Each technical change affecting the operation or safety of the machine, must be formally authorized by the
manufacturer's technical staff .
- During the installation there are many operators working at the same time, it is necessary to act with the
greatest caution.
• The installation operations must be carried out by competent persons, using appropriate means of transport and
lifting approved.
Warnings!!
The EVOTECH S.r.l.. disclaims any liability arising from not following the above warnings
10
A) Set the lifting equipment so that, once lifted, the screw screen forms with the ground an angle of about
35°.
B) Open all the covers of the tank and slowly lower the screw screen inside the tank.
C) Tight the bolt of the collar in order to fix it to the machine frame, as shown in the figure below.
D) Put on the drainage tube, connecting the compacting modulus with the tank (SSB-MK model only).
PREPARATION
Remove the packaging from the motor and all parts used for protection during transport.
Before lifting the machine from the ground entirely preassembled, make sure that all the bolts and nuts for
connection are closed.
During the installation and all maintenance use only approved lifting gear. At each stage of the installation, the
machinery must be ensured by lifting gear correctly set.
Before the installation, a plan of concrete must be prepared in order to withstand the stresses deriving from the
assembly and by the working of the machine. This plan should also ensure the attachment of the anchors used
for the mounting of the foot. It is necessary to consider also the type of terrain on which you prepare the above
mentioned concrete plans.
11
The assembly (including handling) must be performed by personnel with appropriate knowledge of the use of
means and lifting systems, and the means of attachment (keys, bolts, chemical anchors, expansion anchors)
• Lift the machine by using the eyebolts, using only approved lifting gear, suitable for the weight of the machine,
shown on the plate.
Fix the frame of the machine to the round (concrete plate) with suitable anchors.
Do not use temporary supports, unless they provide the necessary stability and security. In this case, the said
supports must be approved and suitable for purpose.
As already described, the machine must be placed on a stable and horizontal type with an appropriate scope to
the weight to be supported. Any unevenness must fall in the standards of construction.
Do not use wood chips or various thicknesses to compensate for the unevenness of the floor.
Check at the end of positioning the nuts of the legs are very tight.
Finally, re-screw the bolts as indicated on the sign:
Note!
A good installation, as well as giving greater rigidity to the machine, avoids vibration and noise..
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Warnings!!
before any action disconnect from mains supply!
12
Never open the inspection hatches or trough covers before having disconnected the conveyor from main
supply.
The tension for which the plant was run is stated on the label.
The electrical system is not proof. The machine must be connected to a three-phase network through a cable,
four (three stages + earth). The cable’s section must be designed to the current absorption of the machine,
specified on the identification plates attached to the machine itself.
• Check first the existence of the earth and its efficiency. Verify that the line doesn’t change in voltage.
• Make sure the switch located upstream supply line of the machine is in open position "0".
• Plug the cable into conduit and higher channel until you reach the terminal of the engine and connect to it.
• Check the direction of rotation of the engine.
• Always focus on safety standards.
