1. PURPOSE & SCOPE:

The purpose of this method statement outlines the procedures and methodology to be followed during the
installation of the Bucket Shower room as well as the Bucket Shower technical system.

Scope of work – Shower Cabin and System .

3. WORKING ACCESS:

The access / egress for the construction vehicles for the installation of activities shall be as per the attached logistic
Layout Plan.

4. LIGHTING:

i. Safety Lighting:
The minimum safety lighting as per General requirements will be provided.

ii. Task Lighting:
Task lighting shall be provided in addition to the safety lighting to undertake the task with the
proper level of lighting to meet acceptable safety and quality of workmanship standards.

5. PLANT & EQUIPMENT:

i. General:
• Appropriate plants and equipment shall be used for the execution of the activity. The plant, tools and
equipment shall be checked visually prior to use.
• Only authorized applicator approved and trained by the manufacturer to install manufacturer’s products
• All Operators shall be trained and certified by the 3rd party where required
• No defective plant and equipment shall be allowed to use on site

All operatives involved in the activity shall be provided with Job specific Personal Protective equipment
which are and but not limited as mentioned below
• Polycarbonate Safety Helmet
• Safety boots with steel toe
• Coverall with high visibility strips
• Hand Gloves
• Ear Plugs
• Eye protection / Goggles
• Respiratory mask for Dust protection

iii. Personal Protective Equipment:

All operatives involved in the activity shall be provided with Job specific Personal Protective equipment
which are and but not limited as mentioned below

• Ear Plugs
• Eye protection / Goggles

iv. Power:
The Power supply used on site for power tools shall be 110V only. 230v or higher voltage power supply
shall be provide to site welfare areas and other site establishment.

v. Working Platforms:
• The working platforms for the task shall be firm and stable.
• The elevated working platforms for the activity shall be provided by means of cuplock scaffold
system
• The scaffolds for the activity shall be built by competitive scaffolders trained by third party.
• The built scaffolds shall be inspected and signed off by a third party trained inspectors / supervisors
• Were necessary access shall be provide by means of scaffold
• The working platforms shall be used as only platforms for working and shall not be used for loading
heavy material or equipment on to it.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION:
Site
1. Ensure all as built are correct as per drawings Supervisor
2. Accounting for require MEP provisions and first fixes. & PM
3. Ensure that the correct revision of the approved shop drawings are used.
4. Ensure that all material used have passed a receiving inspection in accourdance
with Qa/Qc procedures and are not damaged or defective.
5. Ensure that all technicians and helpers are aware of using the correct installation,
handling procedures to ensure best quality of workmanship.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:

Supply/Transportation

1. The supply of all goods shall be via a 40 foot container places on allocated
location on site, based on completion of all documentation and commercial
matters.
2. The container shall house all items required for installation of all goods and
utilized as safe storage spaces.
3. Material will be shifted from allocated storage area to site location by JCB Site
Supervisor
(Boomloader).
& PM

Execution / Installation

1. Ensure all required build areas the surfaces are clear and ready for start of
works.
2. Clean any debris and non-required flooring
3. Transference of Cabin layout. To floor based on base plates.
4. Ensuring a good connection between floor substrate and floor base plates.
5. Installation of cabin walls, starting from adjacency corner to the
door/entrance.
6. The perpendicular panel should be installed to allow for the adjustment of the
panels both being level vertically and horizontally at top.
7. Up on installation of each wall panel ensure a pining nail is installed,
securing the wall panels temporary allowing for the next panel. All while
ensuring the level of wall is correct.
8. Upon installation of subsequent panels allowing for connecting pieces. These
should be securely fixed upon till a full run of the walls are completed.
9. Following the sequence of panels the full cabin is completed
10. At this point if the walls are long additional bracing may be required.
11. Placement of connecting pieces for the wall to ceiling. Site
12. Ensure ceiling hangers are secure to underside of the slab. Supervisor
13. Start installation of ceiling pieces from one Side ensuring all MEP & PM
connections are accounted for as you move forward,
14. Once the Ceiling is completed an overall check is required to ensure all walls

and ceilings are level in all directions.

Finishes

Site
1. Installation of wall panelling starts with a full run at the lowest level. His will Supervisor
allow for a continuous level finish of the panels. & PM
2. Complete the wall panelling of all the walls, ensuring using hidden nails on
every 4 runs.
3. Upon completion of the panelling, cornice pieces should be cut to required
sizes. This run through all connection between each wall and ceiling.
4. Upon completion of the panelling. Installation of the Door panels can be
completed
5. Al required beaching would be installed against the panelling securing any
possible movement,

MEP

1. Installation of Shower Control unit in plant room to provided power supply.


2. Installation of conduits and cables to cabin,
3. Up on completion of all Civil, finishes and MEP, the Shower System can be
installed.

Test & Commissioning.

1. Testing and commissioning will be carried out over a period of 2 days.

11. EMERGENCY ARRANGEMENTS

i. General

• The Site HSE department shall be responsible to arrange and coordinate with site execution teams in
arranging Day & Night emergency procedures
• Site Clinic shall be established to carry on first aid on site in case of any injuries
• In case of any emergency the CRM will be informed about the emergency
• Emergency assembly point shall be allotted and communicated to all the operatives in involved in the job
• Ensure clear access to the emergency assembly area with signage’s in place.
• No construction activity shall block the access leading to the emergency assembly point. In case of any
deviation the access has to diverted and the same shall be communicated to all the operatives on site.

ii. Fire Precautions

• Fire extinguishers shall be put in place in each working zone and a clear access shall be provided to the
location
• All the operatives shall be trained for fire precautions on site
• A fire warden is appointed and trained from each team of operatives

iii. Communication
The communication on site shall be through mobile provided by the contractor or by two way wireless radio
systems

12. TRAINING

• Necessary safety or operational training shall be provided to the operatives involved in the activities

13. SUPERVISION

• Adequate supervision shall be provided for the executing each activity


• Construction Manager & Site Engineer shall monitor the progress of the works

14. WORKING HOURS

• General Working hours are 7:30-4:30, Saterdays -Thursday


• Based on project needs. ESADORE may choose to work from 7am to 7pm.

15. HOUSEKEEPING

• The work areas shall be clean and tidy.


• No debris from construction activities is allowed to accumulate in the work area.
• Work areas shall be cleaned on daily basis at the end of the shift or on completion of the activity
• Sufficient Waste collection bins shall be provided at each working zone
• Waste segregation area (where recyclable / landfill materials are segregated, usually as Steel, Wood,
Plastic, Concrete and Debris) shall be established to control the waste generated on site due to
construction
