“Great Places to Work Institute,” the only manufacturing company from Eastern
Germany to receive this honor.

 Rooftop Solar Power Generation
Built in only four months, the 1.3 megawatt (MW) solar power
plant is located on the rooftop of the First Solar Frankfurt (Oder)
manufacturing facility. The plant, developed by S&F Umwelttechnik
GmbH, a division of Blitzstrom GmbH, uses over 17,000 First Solar
photovoltaic (PV) modules, generating about 1.3 million kilowatt-
hours (kWh) of clean electricity per year. This is enough energy to
power approximately 366 average local homes, displacing about 875
