Abstract:
The World is full of dynamic challenges and competitive environment. It has researched that
during the couple of year the students with the high grade has passed out from the university and
the level of skill has been remarkably improved. Despite of this factors, the only keyway to be
success in respective field is now depends on the leadership quality. This report is willing to
address the leadership quality which I experience, and I have planned for next couple of years. a
good leadership is helping the organization to max their working efficiency and bring success.

Introduction:
I believe that leadership is something that help the organization to maximize their efficiency and
also works as the pivotal factor to achieve organization goal. To good leadership has vital 7
factors as the integrated part of development process (Welch et al., 2014). The first is initiates
action is related to start the action. Leader is a person who start the work by understanding the
policies various plan related to work and most important part is communication. A good leader
always first understands what is going on and based on the fact and evidence he reflects on the
situation. Another important factor is motivation (Gini, 1997). Leader is a person who start the
action, and as he is at the first place, he needs to be motivated their subordinated to follow him.
Providing guidance is also important because it provides a transparent trajectory to their
subordinates. Making confidence, building morals, builds a work environments and coordination
are the key factors that affects the leadership quality. I want to discuss the above seven factors
which I has observed from my research on leadership. I will explain my reflection on leadership.
I want to share my insight on how I has improved on the leadership by undertaking this unit.

Body:
The journey of developing a leadership was good and it is measurable in all dimension and
aspect as I want. I have planned for one more stage to further continue this journey. This stage is
in next two year. Once, I finished my graduate program I will be work as the top executive in my
own firm. as part of top executive, it is necessary to guide the subordinates and direct towards
the right direction. I am also responsible to measure all control related to firm. one of the reason
to choose the shorten period for leadership plan because now a days the organization does not
have more luxury to be in stable condition due to change in market trend, customers, and
technology. This dynamic situation needs to be adopted by the leader and it is also accepting and
implemented in well manner to get desire output. this makes to meet the dynamic condition as I
mentioned earlier. My goal was to develop plan for short term is to change with the time, so the
standard has not to be outdated. As new commers have different working methodology and
various business paradigm. Hence, if I stay or stick to the one leadership style it is difficult to me
to upgrade my self with the current situation. As I told earlier a good leadership bring a success
and responsible for firms’ effectiveness. A dynamic leader brings the more harness the idea,
skill, energy, and enthusiasm to meet the external varieties. This are the reason to choose
leadership for 2 year.

Before moving on to the plan I want to highlight the few learning which I leaned during the
undertaken of this unit. I have been also working as the groups and individual levels. I want to
share my insight as following.

My reflection:
 I have learned that how to store the large intellectual and pedagogical capital approach to
the dynamic condition, but I lacked learning in field of specific contextualized area.
 After working in the in the group at different project, I have learned that how I can be
able to adopt the various context of challenges and to resolve that how to use implement
the core skill of other units to it but I was limited to just use my skill, I was not good at
the follow up action from my subordinates.
 I have learned that the various skill trasfer approach and development. For example,
while we were working on the group my friend was not good at making diagram on
Microsoft project, I have arranged a various session to guide them that how I use skill
trasfer approach and by implementing appropriate feedback by the tutor, I have
developed my skill but I wans restricted to give feedback to someone.
 I have assigned responsibility of the group leader, as a group leader I have to first
understand the core skill of the other remember and based on that I have to assign them
with the responsibility. So, I have first generated the skill matrix and based on that I have
identify the core skill of my team members and then develop a coaching session on which
skill they are not sufficient.
 I have learned that how to deliver the content which is most effective on the organization
context rather in the general in nature. This learning helps me to identify the specific skill
required by the specific task.
 I have learned how to eliminate the team dynamics from the group and get most optimum
output from the team. For example, we are living in the COVID-19 situation, so, we have
different working time schedule which makes conflicts and then I have used a google
docs to update the key documents on the cloud. By this way I eliminate the team
dynamics.
 I have learned that how to deal with the cross-culture barriers and give appropriate
guidance to subordinate. For example, as a part of International university I have to work
with the international student. We often set a casual meeting and exchange our thoughts
and ideas like how we will do. How it will be going etc.
 I have learned the use of effective communication. For example, I have to work with the
international students and one of my friend has not enough knowledge of English. So, to
work with him, I arrange a special session. In this session, I have used a diagram with
label notes. Then, I have explained by thoughts by referring that diagram. Once I finished
with the explanation, I have asked him for sharing his idea. That how I broke the
communication barrier.
 I have learned how to build the trust. I always ask to my teammates about their
experience to work with me.
 Above listed learning outcomes are my self-reflection which I used to create a short-term
goal of two year. The one input is now done for my plan now I need second input to
execute my plan. I need a proper leadership type which suits me and my learning style.

Leadership Style Identification:

The exact identification of leadership style is most important because to lead in successful way
and get desired output. I have used 6 stage to identify the appropriate leadership style.

1. Know my Personality traits:

I have understood the various dimension of my personality like communication, cross
culture engagement, anger, calmness etc. the I have thought about my colleagues and
friend and think that how they usually describe me. I have understood my working nature
and get crucial understanding on how I will lead the team. Next, I assess my behavior
nature to various scenarios. I have examined my choices like how I like to take a risk and
how I avoid the risk. Finally, I measured my impulsiveness and determination and
patience (Yost & Plunkett, 2009). Now I have all data which can give a basic shape for
choosing an appropriate leadership style.

2. Know my values:
I believed that values are yardsticks of behavior. Mostly people use the values to values
the personalities of the people and I keep this thing in my mind while I was assessing
myself. An identification of my values will give me result in reflection and ethical
consideration. I have identified the core values from this assessment are respect, impact,
authenticity, courage, and integrity etc. this values help me to while I will lead my team.
This values help to build the positive and comprehensive approach for development of
leadership.

3. Identify my weakness:
As a to be great leader I have to also identify the weakness as well. This process allows
me to strength my weakness and understand the weakness and learn how they will affect
the role of leadership. Identification of weakness also allows a me to identify my
competence and authenticity. I have identified my flaws and I have implemented various
action to resolve it (Nesbit, 2012).

4. Ask for feedback:

For this task I have given leadership personality test and then ask for feedback from the
teammates. Getting feedback from teammate have give me valuable insight which maybe
I never pick up from myself. I have doing this activity by asking a quick survey on my
strength and weakness and all question as I described in the question one. This feedback
gives me a good idea and overview on the personality traits, strengths, weaknesses, and
perceived values.
5. Assess my Ability for Delegate:
I have assessed the various scenario where I have been too impulsive, and I just consider
that scenario and think that I was able to let it go or not. This stage helps me to give
precise shape of my leadership role.

6. Observing of my leader:
I have been influencing by the Mahatma Gandhi. This stage will help me to finish my
leadership role. I have identified the strength weakness other qualities of Mahatma
Gandhi and then make a list of it.

Now, I have answer to all question from the above points. I have made a detailed report on It to
create my plan. Based on the above stage I have identified the three-leadership type that suits me
which I described below.

1. Democratic Leadership:
I have noticed this leadership because this kind of leadership has believed in creativity
and innovation and encouragement (Aronson, 2001). Which can improve the satisfaction
of teammates. I have always used to take input from my teammates for making decisions.
That is why I think this kind of leadership is suitable for me.

2. Charismatic Leadership:
I have observed this kind of leadership quality from the feedback of my friends. I always
like to work in group and inspired others to follow a good values and qualities. I always
like to stay in front of the line and faces challenges (Dulewicz & Higgs, 2005).

3. Transformational Leadership:
I have noticed this kind of leadership because I was able to develop the good trust with
my teammates and like to share objective with them. I have very single eye to every
process of work and I always encourage others. I observed this kind of qualities.
Now, I have all input to create my plan for 2 year. I have started with the leadership development
plan. It is a roadmap to nature of leadership skill (Pernick, 2001). It encompasses the goal which
align with both strategic and business needs, interpersonal.

1. Define the leadership style:

First of all, I need set all result that I achieved from the previous assessment of
leadership. I have listed a skill and values that is need for the business and will be
valuable for the future as well.
 Creating of skill that fits in appropriate for business model and observed a leader
to get more skill from him.
 If any department needs a different approach of leadership then adopt separate
profile for that specific work area.
 Assessment of leadership time to time with taking survey from the employee or
teammates. This can be done by email, face to face meetings or anonymous.
Which help me to clear idea of leadership.
 Also, make a list of employees who are interested in the management role and
interested in to undertake the leadership role as well.
2. Align business need with employee vision:
I will talk with the employee who are participate in leadership role and try to align career
vision and path with the specific ideas on which I have been working.
 Focus on the employee who are willing to stay in the organization rather to focus
on all employee.
 Set one to one meeting for understanding the goal of teammates and their vision.
This meeting should be regular basis.
 I will be willing to listen the teammates and employee for leadership development
and also asked for the input in business strategy. This insights gives leads a
success.

3. Create list of leadership development goals and skills:

With out the clear goal it is makes more ambiguity in the future goal.
 The listed goal is achievable and measurable and corelate with the business
objective.
 Take a quick overview on the leadership style.
 Create a list of goal and skill that necessary for each individual
 Give rank to each goal so people can focus on that specific goal.
 Set timeline for the specific goal to meet the deadline.
 Motivate people to achieve listed goal.
 Be cleared to what will be result of each goal.
 Set proper guidelines so all teammate can be able to reach the objective of goal.

4. Identify which methods of development to use and create a development plan:

There are several method available for development and use of created plan.

Mentorship program: Arrange mentorship program for motivation and also provide
appropriate guidance to teammate. It will also help for giving the practical advice to
teammate for their reflection. They can learn directly from the experience. It will also
boost the confidence. It also develops the communication skill and personal skill.

Formal Training: This will help to improve the performance of teammate and gives exact
ambience as the actual. It is a good method for knowledge sharing and measure training
requirements for teammates.

Volunteering: This helps to eliminate the effect of impulsiveness, anxiety, and stress from
the workplace. It helps to provides a good working culture that combats the depression
and makes happy to work. it also increases the self-confidence and sense of purpose to
teammates for their working characteristics.

Task forces: This methodology will help to provide the collaborative relationship in the
work culture and leveraging of various resources.
Working groups and committees: This methods will help to get pool of opinion. As
people are from the different background, values, perspective, and abilities. This will help
to guide leader for appropriate guidance will also get numerous idea. It also helps to
improves corporation, motivation, representation, executive training, continuity, and
communication.

Above methods can be used to develop the leadership development plan. I will use the
different leadership plan for adopting each role and select method which best fits.

5. Measure and analyze the result:

The above development plan must be measured to identify the effectiveness of the
leadership plan. It can be done by the measurable goals, specific criteria, feedback from
teammates am data of task on which I am working.
 I will set the timeframe and measure result often.
 Constant communication with the employee and ask for their feedback
 Come back to plan and implemented necessary change suggested by teammate.

Above listed, five stage will be my leadership plan for next two year. It is complete loop process.
Which is works as the PDCA (Plan Do Check Act). I have derived the few highlights which I
have learned from this entire process and my research.

Initiates action: A leader is responsible to start the action based on the evidence and facts.

Motivation: a good leader motivates their employee with economic and non-economic benefits.
He also plays the incentive role for boosting the motivation.

Providing guidance: A leader is not just a supervisor, but he also needs to be given a proper share
to their teammate.
Creating confidence: a good leader is always listening their teammates complain and problem
and help to solve them which helps him to boost the confidence of creating confidence.

Building Morale: By reflecting good personality, a good leader will help to build the morale to
their employee.

Builds work environments: By providing adequate support, a leader constructs the proper work
environment.

Co-ordination: A good leader always helps to take an active participant in the discussion and
coordinate appropriately.

Conclusion:
I have gone through the various activity which help me to lean the various leadership qualities. I
was able to successfully reflect on the self-development as a leader to build the self-awareness.
The above listed five stage procedure will help me to build the personal leadership development
theories. A good leadership is not just limited to the focus on the self-awareness and focus on the
strategic goal, but it also includes the analysis and development approach to influence others in
workplace. This can be done with the various approach. Like formal training approach,
mentorship program. I have learned that how to motivate, provide adequate guidance to other,
create confidence, identify own weakness and strength, how to coordinates, and builds a good
work environment. A leadership is an art of perfection which help to enhance the performance
and decision-making capabilities of organization along with the improvement of employee
performance.
