Following fashion trends is a waste of time and money.

Some people do not pay any attention to fashion, and I am of the same opinion. However,
others claim that fashion is important thing in our life.
Nowadays fashion trends are not important at all. Firstly, lots of people prefer comfortable and
cozy clothes instead of trendy and expensive ones. Secondly, people who follow the fashion
spend lots of money but it is not worth it. For example, people forget about real needs. It is
better to spend money for education, hobby or food. Thirdly, it consumes a lot of time and
energy. For example, people waste time on reading fashion magazines or shopping. So, if you
want to follow the fashion be ready to have lots of money and time.
On the other hand, there is an another opinion on this issue. Some people are sure that
fashion is an essential part of our life. They think that expensive shops and lux brands offer
beauty and top quality. Expensive clothes are more attractive and you can wear it longer than
cheap clothes.
Nevertheless, I cannot agree with this opinion. I know that there are lots of nice and beautiful
clothes in mass markets. The choice is bigger and prices are lower. And the quality is not much
different.
To sum up, taking into the consideration both opinions I believe that it is really useless to
follow fashion trends.
