Task 1: The bar charts illustrate the average house expenses in England and its capital

city – London, and to present the comparison regarding the average house prices
between distinct areas of England within the year 2013

The first chart demonstrates the change in figures of house prices in England on
average and London while the second chart presents the discrepancy in costs to afford
a house in 6 separate regions of England in 2013.
It can be easily seen from the graph that in general, accommodation expenses in Britain
experienced an upward trend throughout the period. To add with, house expenses in
London is the highest one in comparison with other areas.
In 1995, an average person needed approximately 120000 and 200000 pounds to
afford a house in England and London respectively. The discrepancy between the two
was raised significantly within the 18-year period, from less than 100000 to more than
400000.
Concerning detailed figures in all the six regions of England, London has the highest
price of all, doubling that of the North West at only 200000. This was followed by the
two regions in the South, fluctuating from about 320000 to 270000 pounds. The lowest
figures were registered in the Midlands and North East, standing at 120000 and 100000
respectively.
