Do people spend too much time online these days?

The pandemic started a year ago. Everyone's lifestyle changed too much and, with it, the online
modality has been implemented in everything. I mean, people necessarily need a cell phone, tablet, or
laptop for their jobs, studies or, even access to certain services now. Consequently, technology and
humans are completely merged.

First of all, people necessarily need to be connected to work or study and thus achieve social distancing
because it is the only way to prevent the Covid-19 disease from being expected. So, people are required
to be connected for between 8 and 10 hours. In addition to this, people use the internet to text or call
family and friends, watch movies, play online games, or hang out on social media. That adds at least 5-6
hours. So, people pass around 15 to 16 hours online from 24 a day. I think it's too much time.

In the same way, spending a lot of time in front of a computer is very bad for your health, such as stress,
sight damage, fatigue, weight gain, poor posture, etc. Your family relationships can also be affected.
Since paying more attention to your phone than to what your children and partner say, causes them to
get annoyed or pissed off. However, not everything has been terrible, the online mode has also allowed
the environment to recover a little, in particular, there is less waste of paper and less smog from cars.

To sum up, nowadays it is more difficult to get away from technology because of our work and studies,
nevertheless, you can reduce some time from online entertainment, change chatting for a short visit, a
field trip or exercise at home. Your health will be very grateful.
