Midterms ART APP

1. The medium of art are classified depending to what kind of art is being determined. It could
be paint for paintings, wood or stone for sculptures, words or sound waves for music which is
for auditory or verbal art. The three things to consider is, first, the genesis of the work of art,
this tackles about how the mental state of the artist is when making such art. It is the first thing
to be determined because the artist should be able to distinguish what could be the factors that
can affect his art, an example can be his intention regarding his work, and any thoughts or
ideas that can come up to his mind while creating a certain art. Second, the artifact, or work of
art, which is a publicly available object or thing made by the artist and viewed by the audience.
This means that an existing art or a physical artifact is already living in the mind of the artist, in
the time he is making an art, perhaps he makes use of the physical artifact as a medium and
could make a work of art itself. Lastly, the effects of the work of art upon the audience, this
focuses more on the audiences and its observation to a certain art. This also includes the
reaction of the viewers to the aesthetic of an art, as well as the non aesthetic effect of it.
Perhaps, many viewers would perceive the art by their culture and experience.

2. Art fusion is the combination or collaboration of an artist and a specific brand. An example
for this could be when an artist collaborates with a shoe brand like vans or converse, then they
could add some aesthetic to it that could go with the trend nowadays. In that way, it can create
an appreciation for the artist and help the brand to have recognition. Also, when it becomes a
hit, they can produce more or other designs of art by the particular artist and can generate
more income. In that sense, it may result to giving job opportunities to the unemployed who
also need income for their daily lives. In this way, art fusion can benefit society because they
are given the chance to earn and create great products. Moreover, we can also consider art
fusion to be a trendsetter, it is not only giving the opportunity to the unemployed but also to
the artists to be known and acknowledge, and to brands that needs a fresh ideas for them to
revitalize the game in the industry. Furthermore, our society embraces more beliefs and
culture, they tend to understand more the difference of one another. Also the fashion sense
they adapt due to the collaboration of their chosen or favorite brands with some unfamiliar
artist that they would unknowingly admire.
3. The principle of design of the overlapping is developed in order for the audience or viewers
to determine the depth of the object to one another in a certain art. This create the illusion of
distance, perception of the viewer to imagine the dimensions of each objects that can make us
pay attention to the smallest details of an art. Overlapping is significant in art because it makes
use of space, it creates an illusion to the viewer to determine which is farther and which is
closer. In a windowing objects, we can distinguish whether the first object is farther or closer.
Also, we could determine what is the overlapping object to the other. In my own opinion,
illusion of depth is essential to complete the art and make sense of the perspective of the
viewer. Furthermore, there are elements such as lines, shapes, and colors that makes use of
overlapping. With the help of this, artists can create more creative and colorful art that
interpret different kinds of ideas or thoughts. Countless arts are recognized for its outstanding
use of overlapping shapes and lines, such as Tree Huggers by Allie Jensen. In order to create a
beautiful art, overlapping would be a great contribution to it.
