You may find that style is the same in more than one clip and this is fine, though trying to
identify a range of styles for a range of clips will be beneficial in terms of answering a range
of potential questions in the exam.

Finally, for this Section, choose a scene that has the clearest sense of a style which you’ve
identified.
Your task is to analyse this clip. Use the ideas and notes from the tasks you have already
done as a basis and then create more of a fully-formed paragraph rather than a series of
notes.
You could even practice this as a timed exercise to prepare for writing in an exam.
Begin by summarising the narrative of the clip and then how you would describe the visual style of
the clip.
TIP - One way of doing so is to refer to the explicit detail first, for example, a long shot and then
explore the implicit suggestion in using that example.
E.G, why a film might use a long shot to communicate a key idea you learned when researching
context and doing tasks two and three.
