noted in numerous Checklists, as well as in MoM 20-40 - I’d like reminding you on the
requirements of welding as given in Chapters (taken from C2):
 4.4.3 Pipe Report
 5.1.5.2 Welding of Pipelines and Structures
 5.2.2 Steel Pipework
As I already invited you in below communication, please respond if all requirements can be
fulfilled. In case not, feel invited to propose similar alternative(s).

Dear Bonus,
in addition to the below and since I anyhow think that you’ll forward the below directly to
Paul from H.E. Jackson (of which we had the pleasure today to visit his workshop, which
appeared - though being partly a bit unsorted - in general that required knowledge and
technology/ adequate equipment is available) and since as per the Works Contract we have
also requirements regards to welding, I suggest you forward him also parts thereof,
specifically the following Chapters (taken from C2):
 4.4.3 Pipe Report
 5.1.5.2 Welding of Pipelines and Structures
 5.2.2 Steel Pipework
Please respond if all requirements can be fulfilled. In case not, feel invited to propose similar
alternative(s).

After having reviewed the submitted documentation, and as discussed during
today’s factory visit, please resubmit MAT-029 Steel Pipes and Fittings with
the following rectifications:
 
-          For “Material”, please use descriptive text as above
-          In the field “Manufacturer” provide also details of the primary manufacturer (it
appears that also Abeyla Trading is only a supplier?)
Primary manufacturer:
Name: xxx
Etc.
Fabricator of final product:
Name: H.E. Jackson Engineering Ltd
Etc.
-          In the field “Model/ Designation”, please provide brief product specifications:
 o   Steel Grade
o   Flange and Fitting Standards
o   Tube type (welding process)
o   Schedule or wall thickness per outside diameter (alternatively, mark
range in the product data sheets)
-          If possible, please include the original product data sheets, as the ones
submitted are difficult to read
-          Quality Management Certificate of primary manufacturer
-          As the pipes are manufactured to SANS 719, please provide the relevant
standard (SANS 719:2011)
-          Conformity test reports/ certification to SANS 719
 
There is no need to submit the Company Profile and Fabrication Quality Plan
again as hard copy, but please include in the revised digital version.
 
Same applies for MAT-028 Stainless Steel Pipe Fittings.
