Name: Chua, Marielle P.

Profile of the Fieldwork Things “I expected” before the fieldwork:

Title of the Activity: Slogan on Sexual During the pandemic, there is a risk of sexual violence in the home of every
Harassment individual. Sexual harassment is unwelcome words or behaviors that are sexual or
sex-based in nature from students or adults (of the same gender or not) that interfere
Date (mm/dd/yyyy): 03/13/2021 with their ability to learn, study, work, or participate in school or work activities.
Venue/Address: Bulalo, SUltan Kudarat, Before the fieldwork I expected that this topic is a sensitive one but others should be
Maguindanao aware with the reality and address this issue as many individual struggling with this
kind of violence.

Things “I learned” during the fieldwork:

A slogan is one of the effective ways to draw the attention to the audience. It is designed to promote a better environment through
the prevention and management of sexual harassment. A catchy slogan increases or raising the awareness of an individual specifically,
the content shows a call for action. Prevention of harassment in our environment is both an international and national concern. It is
internationally agreed that sexual harassment is a form of gender discrimination and is recognized as a violation of human rights.
Sometimes, preventing sexual harassment is just a matter of standing up at the right time. If we spot suspicious behavior in public or
among our friends, it’s better to confront the individual before the situation escalates into sexual violence.

Things “I realized” after the fieldwork Things “I suggest” for the next fieldwork:

Silence or a lack of complaints does not mean sexual None.

harassment does not occur. Many instances of sexual violence
occur out of sight of the general public, in one-on-one situations,
resulting in emotional rather than physical injury to the victim. The
hope is that, if people are more aware of sexual harassment and
how casually it is sometimes treated, then tolerance for it will
decrease and support for victims will rise.
