2. What are the benefits of working abroad?

3. What are the challenges of working as an OFW?

4. How do you deal with the challenges?

5. Based from your own experiences, if you were given choice to work in the Philippines or

abroad, which would you choose? Why?

6. Give some pieces of advice to those who want to become an OFW.

1. For me, I decided to work as an OFW because I want to help my parents and my younger

siblings, I am willing to sacrifice my work here in the Philippines even have a job it may be

called “decent job” but it is not enough for me to sustain our daily needs.

2. One of the biggest benefits of helping my family was the high salary and benefit packages

specially on holidays the bonuses are coming in are just making me want to strive more.

3. For me, loneliness is one of the hardest challenges I have been through, after a long day of

work you literally no one when you go home or wherever you live. So I worked in a company

where I prepare packages for international deliveries or if I am assigned to maintenance where

I clean certain areas.

4. Dealing with my challenges is what the most hardest part of being an OFW because if I can’t

do it then I cannot provide the help I was intended to give but, I deal with my challenges

through work I work harder where I will forget the pain of being away of my family, the

loneliness, the hardship this challenges are nothing if this is what it takes to have a better

quality life.

5. Abroad, it’s just abroad has many more opportunities and it is true whether you’re a

housemaid or a caregiver it has higher income in abroad because for their high economy

condition.

6. The advice that I can give to anyone out there who wants to be an OFW is that no matter how

hard your work is or your experience you must keep moving forward. Being tired is just in the

mind your hard work, you sleepless night, the lack of meal every hardship you experience is

worth every penny.
