Nicholas James Vujicic was born in Brisbane, Australia with tretra amelia

syndrome, which is characterized by a lack of limbs. That is, Nick was born without
legs or arms, he only has a formation or Meromelia on the lower left side.

Nick is an example of life and a great fighter, due to his disabilities and physical
limitations. During his school age, his family moved to Melbourne for a better
quality of life. But the situation was not easy when the state of Victoria banned her
from school because of her disability. When the laws were finally changed, Nick
became one of the first students with a disability to join a regular school.

Nick suffered at school because his classmates treated him differently because of
his disability. As a result, he had bouts of depression throughout his childhood to
the point where he was considering suicide. At age ten he tried to drown in the
bathtub, but stopped to remember the love his parents had. After much internal
reflection, Nick realized that he was unique, and although he had challenges to
face, he had an opportunity in his life to be able to inspire many other people who
were in the same position as him.
Nick changed his perspective on life. He discovered that if you fall you must get up
and if you do not have strength or hope you must try again and again until you
achieve it, because if you give up, what changes? You must move on, the most
important thing is to strive to achieve the objectives.
At the age of 21, he completed a college degree graduating in Accounting and
Financial Planning. Soon after, he became a motivational speaker, speaking to
people from all over the world - he has already visited more than 30 countries! He
also founded an organization in 2005 called "Life Without Limbs," which is
committed to giving motivation and inspiration to people without limbs. In 2008 he
filmed his own documentary called “Born Without Limbs”.

Nick has found happiness by concentrating on what he has in life, what he has
accomplished, and who he is. He loves life above all things and has left behind the
fears and anguishes that he had before.
No one said life would be easy, and that couldn't be more true for Nick. But what it
teaches us all is that you shouldn't focus on what you don't have in this life, but
rather be grateful for the life you do have.
