Elisan, Marilou
~ We chose the topic of disabled persons who empower others who has disabilities.
There are two disabled person who tell their tales. The first is Alsee Bello, who was
born with a disabled arm. He had no idea why and how he had a short arm; they said
it was because of a "Pamahiin" , but he didn't believe them. In addition, he's the only
one in his family that has such problem. He faced discrimination while in high school,
but he never let it deter him; his awareness thought that he could achieve whatever
that normal people do. Even though he is in a difficult circumstances, he continue to
pursue his ambition. He also participated in sporting activities such as basketball and
a darts competition. He struggled to find work since he had a crippled arm, but he
never gave up doing what he was capable of, so he became a chairman in Bigay
Buhay Multipurpose Cooperative, and via his cooperative, he helped other PDWs
who were having difficulty in finding jobs. His wish for his fellow PWDs is equality and
the implementation of our laws that protect their rights. The second is Criselda, who
was not born blind but lost her sight as she grew older. She stated that having a
handicap is not necessarily an excuse for not accepting oneself. Her family is always
there for her in everything she undertakes. People believe that if you ’ve lost your
sight, you lose everything. They also believe that the only job that blind people can
do is massage, which is good and acceptable. However don’t stay on that kind of
mind set thats why she demonstrated that blind people can be professional teachers,
such as Criselda, a part-time faculty member at Dela Salle University. For me it
doesn't matter if you have a disability 'cause it's not any ones fault and it's not your
fault, one thing is wrong-- how people think and their prospective in each other
person because of that discrimination, inequality, stereotype and disrespect well a
rise. And that`s why disabled people think they're not good enough which is wrong
because disable people can do anything just what Alsee and Criselda do they show
that being disabled person is good at everything like a normal person do. This video
inspires me to be a good future teacher that does not discourage each individual because of
their condition and treats them equally so that they do not feel excluded. And they were
always confident in their abilities. If those with disabilities can turn the impossible into the
possible, so could the rest of us.

Villorente, Jericho
~ The video we chose is about "The story of the Filipino". It is the story of people with
disabilities. Alsee Bello has a disability in his hand and Maria Criselda Bisda has a vision
problem. As I watched the video about them, I was really amazed and inspired by their
positive perspectives. I am really amazed at the PWD’s who persevere even though they are
disabled. They are role models and should be emulated. I as a normal person, I also get
discouraged sometimes. This video especially motivated me to persevere even more in life.
Let us not give in to the weakness of our heart because we can do it as long as we remain
positive. Our disabilities are not a reason for us to give up. And as a future teacher, I was
encouraged that I could also do my roles even better. We all have our weaknesses, we are all
imperfect, so we must always remember that we have many trials in life to go through. This
video motivated me to continue to fight, even if we fall we must still be ready to get up. Alsee
Bello said that he does not view himself as disabled, because he can do everything. So we
must, too, be positive in life and always remember that we can. If PWD's can persevere, we
should be even more normal.

~ We choose this video clip because it is relative to the report of group 1. The first
person in this clip doesn't have a complete hand but his disability did not hinder him
from continuing his studies. Because of his disability, he has always been a target of
temptation. And there is someone who helped him with the Bigay Buhay
Multipurpose it is for people with disabilities, its purpose is to provide employment
and help everyone with disabilities. and after so many struggles that he encounters
now, he is a chairman and operations manager of BBMC. The second person in this
video was blind. She said that you should accept yourself for who you are. She is not
inborn blind but when he already turns in 5 years old her vision turn in black, Her
family always supports her from the start of her schooling until she graduates. Being
a blind person is very difficult people think a lot of things you can't do and they
discriminate against you. They think once you lost your sight, you lost everything.
And she said advocacy equality has started from you when you telling to people
change their minds you need to change your ways too, if you are telling people to be
fair with you then you have to show to them you are also doing it to yourself. But now
she is a part-time faculty of Dela Salle University.
Honestly, nothing is wrong if you are a disabled person because it is not your fault
that you have become that way. The problem is those people who always
discriminate against the person with a disability, despite their disabilities continue to
help their communities and live purposeful lives. The moral brings to me as a future
teacher of this video clip like those people trying to pull me down, They want me to
suffer in a way that they can do. But I should Always remind myself that Whatever
darkness I may encounter because of the dreams I want, there still has a reason for it
to shine. Don't give up on your dreams. tell yourself that you can, because trusting
yourself is the best key to success. You don't need to give up if you're feeling down.
Pursue your dreams because no one else is going to do it for you.
