Subject: Notice for Marking Lines of Counter Weight

Type: ALL

To whom it may concern,

Recently, we have received serious concerns about some lines look like a crack of

counter weight. Lines were found on the top and side surface of counter weight near

hydraulic nut.

Fig.1. Lines on counter weight (left : side surface, right : top surface)

However, please be informed that these lines are not real crack, but simple lines with a
purpose of marking that used during hydraulic tightening of crank shaft assembly progress.

Side line (Figure 1. left) was marked through nut to side surface of counter weight as an

initial position. After hydraulic tightening, the aforementioned line should be out of joint if
nut was turned clockwise and tightened correctly. Thereafter, a continuous line from nut

was marked again on a top surface of counter weight as an indication of hydraulic

tightening completion (Figure 1. right).

We fully understand that customers can be confused because the side marking line is
inconsistent with other lines. From now on, we will improve the marking method as

straight and short length together with a marking pen as below photo.

We hope the above will be of service to you.

Faithfully yours,
