ANCHORS AWAY....SUMMER IS COMING!

As the school year wraps up, I want to give a very heartfelt thank you to our amazing PTO and
the many parent volunteers that keep our ship sailing along to create such an amazing school
for our kiddos. Team work makes the dream work and it has been wonderful to work with all of
you. I look forward to planning lots of exciting activities for next school year …after a fun
summer of course! Best wishes for a safe, happy and fun- lled summer to all of you!

2018 ANCHOR FUN RUN "IN COLOR"
We would like to thank all the families that participated in the Anchor Fun Run this year! We
had a total of 251 people that registered in advance with more registering on site the day of
the event! Even though the weather did not completely cooperate for us, we still had an
amazing turn out the day of the event! A huge thank you to our sponsor, Two Moms and a Mop,
who generously donated their funds, their resources, and their time at the event! Thank you
Cahills! We are so lucky to have you in our LCE Family!

Thank you to Smoked Down BBQ and Via Gelato for the after-race snack options! They were
delicious! Be sure to click the links for more information about these two businesses.

Thank you also to our event chairs: Sarah Overholt, Kim Evans, and Maggie Piotter for all of
their work coordinating, planning and setting up this special 90th Anniversary celebration in
combination with our Anchor Run!

We could never have pulled this event off without all of our amazing volunteers! We had past
and present LCE students and families as well as some other high school students from both
PNHS and PCHS. We were told that spraying the color was just as much fun as being sprayed!
