Love is in the air...

at Lake Center Elementary this month! With Valentine’s Day coming up, it makes me think about how I
love to watch my kids learn and grow and that we are so fortunate to be a part of this school. There
are so many fun things coming up! I can’t wait to sneak a peek at our lovely ladies and the special
adults in their lives at our upcoming Let's Glow Girls Dance! The Battle of the Books is such an
awesome event helping our kids learn to love reading! PTO has been busy planning and organizing
several fun family events for the coming months to bring our families together and celebrate what a
wonderful school community we have!
If you love Lake Center and want to nd out how you can show your love for our school and staff, we
have many ways to get involved! Keep your eyes open for our newsletter or nd us and like us on
Facebook to see what we have lined up!
Would you or anyone you know like to be a part of our awesome PTO board? We are taking
nominations for Executive Board and General Board for the 2020-2021 school year at our February-
April meetings. We would welcome you to join us at our upcoming PTO meetings to get to know us and

nominations for both the
Executive Board and the
General PTO Board for our

elections for the 2020-2021

introduce yourself, we'd love

Box Top Collection
A new era for Box Tops and
a simpler way to earn for our
schools. We can now earn
cash for our school by
scanning store receipts with
the Box Top mobile app.
The week of February 17 - 21
will be the LAST school wide
collection for Box Tops for
education. Please download

Battle of the Books
The Battle is coming!
Monday, February 10th, our
teams will meet for a friendly
competition to see which
teams know their books the
best! The top 3 teams will
receive medals and the top 2
will move on to the Grand
Battle to be held at Amberly
Elementary on February
17th.
Teams should arrive in the
cafeteria at 6:10 pm, and the
battle will begin at 6:30 pm.

Let's Glow Girls (Formerly Father Daughter Dance)

Get ready to join us for Let's Glow Girls!!
Saturday, February 8th, 6:00-8:00pm.

Tickets are $5 per family. Your $5 family ticket covers all LCE girls in the
same household plus an adult guest. If you missed the pre-order, tickets
will be available at the door.

Not sure what to wear? Neon colors or plain white is the way to go!

Main Street Photography will be there taking photos, so be sure to get a

photo slot when you arrive!

Volunteers are needed before, during, and after the dance. If you would like to help, contact:

Family Fun Night at Great Skate

Please join us at Great Skate Roller Rink!
Thursday, February 20th, 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

This is a family event. Supervision required.

No drop offs.
Cost is $6 for quad-skates, $3 more for in-line skates.
You can bring your own skates, watching is free!
Location: Great Skate Roller Rink, 10496 Portage Rd

Over ow parking available in La Finca parking lot.

Save the Date for the Boys' Night In!! (Formerly the
Mother/Son Event)
LCE Boys and their adult guest will not want to miss this years event
hosted on Saturday, March 21th, 6:00-8:00 pm.
