Evaluate the effectiveness of the Social Gospel movement in addressing the important social issues of the Industrial Age. In your
answer, reflect on the immediate solutions as well as long-term effects.
The Social Gospel movement was very popular in the 19th century but they eventually lost their significance. The ministers discarded every idea of
industrialization and concentrated on social and religious doctrines. Ministers tried to get the middle class and lower class and encouraged them to
follow social doctrines over individual doctrines. They created the moment mainly to instigate religion. In spite of all these efforts, the labor moment
eventually collapsed, with the only big achievement was that it prepared the stag for middle class progressivism.
