According to Bill Georges authentic leadership model, leaders have genuine desire to serve others. An
authentic leader should have Five characteristics of authentic leaders are:
1. They understand their purpose
2. They have strong values about doing right thing
3. They establish trusting relationships with people around them
4. They demonstrate self-discipline and act on their moral values
5. They are highly passionate about their mission.
According to Bill George, these are not traits but rather chosen characteristics that the leader must decide
to carry out to prove themselves authentic. Authentic leaders should be able to understand the reason for
which they are placed in the position they are in. They search for the right thing to do, and they put forth
effort into creating trust in all their relationships. Authentic leaders have a sense of purpose, knowing what
they are about and where they are planning to reach. Purpose on the other hand requires passion to become
fruitful. Passionate people are intrinsically motivated and about what they do or want to do.

Ans To the Question No 2:

Servant leadership begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first. The conscious
choice of leading comes hereafter. A servant leader makes sure that other people’s highest priority needs
are being served. From the point of view of the leader and their behaviors servant leaders put their
followers first.
10 Characteristics of servant leadership:
1. Listening: Acknowledging the viewpoint of the follower and judging their personality
2. Empathy: Attempting to see the world from followers’ point of view.
3. Healing: Servant leaders feels healed while helping followers to become whole.
4. Awareness: Understanding people and what impact s/he has on themselves
5. Persuasion: Ability to create change through gentle, nonjudgmental argument.
6. Conceptualization: The ability to be a visionary for an organization.
7. Foresight: The ability to predict what is coming based on what is occurring in the present and
what has happened in the past.
8. Stewardship: Being able to manage the people and organization one has been given to lead.
9. Commitment to the Growth of People: Treating each follower as a unique person with intrinsic
value beyond what s/he contributes to the organization.
10. Building Community: Allowing followers to identify with something greater than themselves
that they should value.
