1. What is the difference between global government and global governance? Is there really a such a
thing as global government? Are national governments are responsible in the global affairs?

What is the difference between global government and global governance?

Global government could be described as a single global body whose aims and goals are clearly set to
govern other actors. Being a governing body, it has ties with other states but does not have a horizontal
power relationship with them.

Global government is not a process it is an actual body or organization, whereas governance is a


dynamic process with various actors and power balances. —the United Nations, the International
Criminal Court, the World Bank, etc.

There is no current global government whereas there are different forms of global governance.

Yes, the global affairs may refer also to international relations which a country involved in an
organization or institutions.

Democracy is a form of government in which the citizens create and vote for laws directly, or indirectly
via representatives (democratic republic).
