M1-X P RODUCTION PACKER

The M1-X Production Packer Optional emergency release is

permits unrestricted flow and pas-
sage of full gauge wireline tools and
accessories with an unrestricted ID,
making it ideal for zone isolation,
injection and production. The M1-X
can be set with production tubing
in tension, compression or neutral,

continued right-hand rotation of
12 turns at the tool releases the
mandrel, after which straight pick-
up releases the packer.

The packer’s mechanical lock-set
action closes an internal bypass and
allows application of pressure above
or below the packer, while reducing
surge and swab pressure during run-
ning and retrieval. This bypass closes
during setting, and opens to equalize
pressure before releasing the slips.
Seals below the upper slips allow
debris above the packer to be washed
away prior to release. The packer is
released by a quarter right-hand turn
at the tool, followed by straight pick-
up of the production tubing.
